Any new God-inspired writings?

Hi everyone!

People say that Paul, Peter, etc, wrote "God-inspired" writings.
If Christians are their brothers and sisters in the faith, then shouldn't any new writings by them be also considered "God-inspired?"

Who says that "God-inspired" writings are limited to those of the Bible???

If you are a Christian, what prevents you from writing any God-inspired material?

I'm thinking of utilizing a part of my website to allow people to upload their own "God-inspired" material for all to read.

The only question then becomes, who decides what material is God-inspired, and which is not??

The Truth that is God inspired is the Truth that is the same in the past present and future. It is not some temporary doctrine that happens once in a life time or only once in an eternity. The Truth of God was in the beginning, it is now present and it always will be the same at all times in the future which is to come.
The inspired Word of God is an eternal Word which has an eternal life cycle and applies to all generations of the past present and future.
Spiritual Truth is eternal Truth. It never changes and never ages.


That is my inspiration and revelation which is verified by the Truth itself in the eternal spiritual realm. Do with it what you like.

Jesus said there were things that God needed to say that they could not hear in his time and that there would be prophets to come,why do you think he spoke of how to identify false prophets? why would one need to discern what is false if there was not also truth?

Here's the Catholic perspective (Joshua Patrick - let me know if you agree).

All Papal ex Cathedra proclamations are divinely inspired, by definition.

Based on her authority as the bride of Christ, the Church could theoretically declare additional writings to be divinely inspired. No other person or institution has this authority.

Despite the above, there's always the possibility any of us may receive divine inspiration to write something. The Church isn't guaranteed to identify all such divinely inspired writings. For example, I'm writing this post through divine inspiration, but Pope Benedict fails to read the post (e.g. he forgot his password). It's still divinely inspired, it's just never canonized (and I suspect some of you won't take my word for it).
