No sex in heaven? If Heaven is supposed to be a paradise, wouldn't there be sex, the thing which the majority of us enjoy in our life?
Is there sex in heaven? I hope to God there is.

No, there's no sex in heaven according to the Bible. God says that sex is for marriage on earth, plus Jesus said that there is no marriage in heaven; therefore, no sex in heaven.JamesWesley wrote:I've often heard that once Christians reach Heaven they will recieve a new body as well as everlasting life. The same Christians say that they will no longer have need for sex for they will live forever.

What's the chapter and verse for this?GentleDove wrote:No, there's no sex in heaven according to the Bible.
C & V?God says that sex is for marriage on earth,
So what's the reasoning here? Why should a lack of marriage preclude sex?plus Jesus said that there is no marriage in heaven; therefore, no sex in heaven.
Maybe there will be something better than sex.1 Timothy 2:15 wrote: But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.
the problem with that is that sex outside of marriage is a sin. There isn't going to be sin in heaven, so no marriage=no sex.Cathar1950 wrote:As I recall, at least according to the story, Jesus just says they will not be getting married in Heaven. It doesn't say anything about sex. In Heaven maybe sex is just fun and used for bonding between people.

If one can't be married in heaven then it's hardly logical to ban sex because one can't be married. It's like declaring you can't drink lemonade unless you can fly by flapping your arms. Why bother citing the conditional when the conditional is an impossibility. Simply saying, "NO sex In heaven. PERIOD! will do the job. No need to clutter a "law" with inconsequentials. Of course it might be nice to know why sex is a sin in heaven.FinalEnigma wrote:the problem with that is that sex outside of marriage is a sin. True. However, sex isn’t only for procreation, according to the Bible. It also binds a husband and wife together in their relationship and is for comfort and pleasure. It is a way to be vulnerable in safety with someone who has vowed to be faithful and to love and respect in an honorable lifetime commitment. (Genesis 2:23-25, Genesis 18:11-13, Genesis 24:67, Exodus 20:14, Numbers 5:20, Deuteronomy 24:5, 2 Samuel 12:24, Song of Solomon 4:8-10, Song of Solomon 4:10-12, Song of Solomon 5:1-3, Malachi 2:15-16, Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Corinthians 7:2-4, 1 Corinthians 7:33-34, Hebrews 13:4)McCulloch wrote:According to conservative Christian theology, sex outside of marriage is forbidden and sex is for procreation. There will be no marriage in heaven and with eternal life, there will be no need for procreation. Ergo, no sex.
As far as I’m aware, the Bible does not say that human beings will not have gender in heaven.McCulloch wrote:Heck there will be no gender either.
