Exodus 3:2, “The angel of the LORD appeared unto (Moses) in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” And so, Israel a bush burned with fire, yet not consumed. The chosen people of God, remain the apple of his eye They have been expelled, exposed to misery, persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and murdered from the time of their captivity in Egypt to this very day, yet Israel lives as a nation. Have you ever asked yourself why, why have the Jews been persecuted so horribly, yet preserved as a people and nation?
God's Plan:
The LORD planned to use a descendant of Noah, from the line of his firstborn son, Shem, to separate a people for himself and create a nation. And through all their corruption, and foolishness, the Jews remain the “apple of God’s eye.” Here is the LORD’s explicit declaration to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, his twelve sons, and all the generations to follow.
Genesis 12:2, “I (the LORD) will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and make your name great,” The promise of a nation assumes the existence of a national homeland.
Genesis 17:19, “Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an EVERLASTING covenant, and with his seed (his descendants) after him.”
Now because they sinned against God, the ten Northern tribes were overrun by the Assyrians in 790 B.C. The Babylonians murdered tens of thousands of Jews, and in 586 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple and the city of Jerusalem. Around 465 B.C. the Jews escaped the ruin designed for them by Haman. They would suffer the onslaught of Ptolemy Lagus King of Egypt, the dispersion by Seleucus Nicator, the slaughter by Antiochus Epiphanes, the ravaging by Crassus the Roman General, and by Herod the Great.
After murdering the Lord Jesus, the scepter would temporally depart from Judah. But this was only the beginning of Israel’s calamities.
Deuteronomy 28:29, “And you (Israel) shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled (be plundered continually) evermore, and no man shall save you.” See Mathew 24.
Matthew 27:25, As the Lord hung from the cross, the people cried out, “Let his blood be on us and our children.” The people put a curse on their own heads and the heads of their children. Thousands would be killed at Cesarea, Damascus, Bethshan, and Alexandria, by Vespasian, and by the Roman Legions led by Titus. In Jerusalem, over a million were killed, and at Masasada a thousand more died by their own hand. Then the Roman Catholics began their persecution of Jews, this followed by the Islamic hordes, the Ottoman, and most recently Adolph Hitler and his Nazi party who took the lives of 6 million. The LORD’s judgments upon the Jews have been terrible, extending to the people, their religion, and the land. Their ceremonies essential to their religion are no longer observed, except by the Orthodox Jews: also, no longer observed is their ritual law, for they remain without a Temple, altar, and sacrifice.
But the LORD has kept his promise, Ezekiel 37:24, “I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and all your idols, will I cleanse you.”
The time of cleansing had arrived: It began on May 14, 1948, when a generation of newborn babies came into the World. God’s promise, “This generation shall not pass away until all these things (Matthew wrote about) are fulfilled.” This generation is now 76 years of age. Israel is at war in the North, South and West. Antisemitism abounds throughout the world, and hatred against them is on the rise. There remains for them one friend, the community of Christians. We must continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
The bush of Moses, surrounded with flames, forever burns, yet it will never be consumed.
Is God done with the Jews?

Post #71Yes, and I visited there two years ago. It was beautiful in many ways. Yet the nation is not God's special nation anymore, because they failed to keep their part in the covenant and even killed God's Son, so now God's people are the Christian congregation, as Peter stated:placebofactor wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 10:59 am [Replying to placebofactor in post #69]
The question is, "Is God done with the Jews?"
Jeremiah put it this way: first read verses 31-35. Jeremiah 31:36, "If those ordinances depart from before ---- then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus said the LORD; if heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, said the LORD."
The last time I looked, Israel still exists as a nation.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar (purchased) people...Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God..." (IPeter 2:9,10, KJV)
"Simeon (Peter) hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name." (Acts 15:14, KJV)

Concerning the Abrahamic Covenant and the New Covenant Jesus brought with him, both are unconditional. These covenants are God's promises to bring the 12 tribes of Israel to salvation. All a Jew has to do is obey, just as the Gentiles have to obey. How in the world can the Gentile nations be grafted into the blessings of the Jews if God is done with them? That would be like grafting a branch into a dead tree. The grafted-in branch would die. How can the Gentiles be adopted into a family that does not exist? Your reasoning makes no sense.

Verse 33, "But this shall be the covenant that I (Jehovah) will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and will be their God, and THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE."
Verse 34, "I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." This was the LORD'S unconditional promise to the Jews; all they have to do is receive Jesus Christ, and over the past 2000 years, many Jews representing the 12 tribes have come to the Lord. No one can deny that fact.

Re: Is God done with the Jews?
Post #74An unconditional covenant made by the LORD is just that, unconditional. He never said there would be no punishment. His unconditional covenant for the land was to Abraham, reaffirmed to Isaac, and then to Jacob. Another covenant was made to King David concerning the throne, which was passed to Jesus Christ. Then there is the new covenant Jesus brought with him. After his resurrection, 120 Jews were saved. At Pentecost, 3000 were saved. The 3000 went home to their synagogues in Mesopotamia, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, Libya, Cyrene, Rome, Cretes, and Arabia. Acts 2:41, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized, and the same day there were added into them about three thousand souls. One more thing, unless a person is blind today, can't read and has not kept up with history, the Jews throughout the past 1900 years may have been punished by the Lord, but they have remained a family. No other nation or Kingdom on this earth has ever suffered like the people of Israel, yet they have their nation back, flourish, and prosper. Not the Babylonians, Medes, Persians, Greek empire, Roman, has ever came back to their glory, but the Jews have.
God's end-time promise to them can be found in half a dozen verses. If you're interested, read the following carefully; if not, continue to believe the false teaching of the Watchtower, it's up to you, your decision.
But the LORD also said, Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentiles) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their land:”
Hosea 3:5, “Afterward (in the latter days) shall the children of Israel return (May 14, 1948), and seek the LORD their God (still future), and David their king (symbolic of Christ); and shall fear (seek after) the LORD and His goodness in the Latter days (last days)."
Hosea 1:10-11, But, "It shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, you are NOT my people, there it shall be said unto them, you ARE the sons of the living God. Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentile’s) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side (Russia, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq etc.), and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king (Jesus) shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore at all: (Still future) Neither shall they (the Jews) defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherin they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.”
These prophecies began to be fulfilled on May 14, 1948.
Romans 11:26, "And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, there shall come out of Zion the Deliverer (Jesus,) and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob (still future)."
If you deny these prophecies, that's your problem.

The people that inherit the land forever are the ones that obey Jehovah. No physical nation on Earth today obeys Jehovah. But people out of the nations will make up a special group, a "holy nation," as Peter puts it.
The covenant between God and Israel was conditional. (You keep saying "unconditional.") There was a price Israel had to pay if they went astray, and they sure did.
The prophecy in Ezekiel was fulfilled 3,000 years or so ago when the Jews returned to Jerusalem after their imprisonment in Babylon. It already happened. It is not a prophecy for today.
He is not their God any more because they blew it. They were cruel and greedy and worshipped other gods, as I brought out in my previous post. And we are now talking about a spiritual Israel, as Peter and Paul brought out in their writings. It is the new nation, the people of God. (1Peter 2:9,10) There are quite a few Jews who have turned to listening to Christ and obeying Jehovah, yes, but not the nation as a whole.
"But ye [Christians] are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar [or, purchased] people....Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy." (I Peter 2:9,10, KJV)
"Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name." (Acts 15:14, KJV)
"For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a free-woman. But he who was of the bond was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is [H]Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all." (Galatians 4:22-26, KJV) He says that the Jerusalem ABOVE is the "mother" of us all (Christians). Not the physical Jerusalem on the earth. He talks of a SPIRITUAL Jerusalem, not the physical one. Everything that is mentioned in the Scriptures now about Israel can be understood to be referencing spiritual Israel. (That includes Revelation 7:4-8.)

Yes, and I visited there two years ago. It was beautiful in many ways. Yet the nation is not God's special nation anymore, because they failed to keep their part in the covenant and even killed God's Son, so now God's people are the Christian congregation, as Peter stated:
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar (purchased) people...Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God..." (IPeter 2:9,10, KJV)
"Simeon (Peter) hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name." (Acts 15:14, KJV)
See also Matthew 21:43; Matthew 23:37,38.
Jesus is the messenger of the new covenant, and his blood is the new covenant. As you read, note the personal pronoun "I" = Jehovah.
Jeremiah outlines God's promises to the Jews. Jeremiah 31:31, "The days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (12 tribes)
"For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off....See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply, and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish....I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." (Deuteronomy 30:11,15-19, KJV)
Did Israel worship other gods? Did they abandon Jehovah's commandments?
"Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Therefore thou [Jeremiah] shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not harken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee. But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth." (Jeremiah 7: 17,18,27,28, KJV)
"Hear, O earth: behold, I [the LORD] will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not harkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it." (Jeremiah 6:19, KJV)
language.
Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appointed themselves one head."

His sons still possess it today, they are the Middle Eastern nations, todays enemies of their half-brother Isaac. They have been at war with each other for 3700 years, but the Lord will one day deal with the seed of Ishmael.
You keep making two huge mistakes. The land was promised to Abraham, confirmed to both Isaac and Jacob, and his seed, the twelve tribes. Circumcision of the men of Israel is what sealed that covenant. When Jesus was circumcised in the flesh, as King and High Priest of Israel, he sealed the covenant for the Jews for all time. I will write the verses out for you. If you are interested in the truth, read them carefully.
Genesis 17:1, When Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD APPEARED to Abram, and said unto him, I am the almighty God; walk before me, --." Verse 7, And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an EVERLASTING covenant to be a God unto you, and to your seed after you. (Note: Abram saw God) Look, up the word "appeared" IT MEANS TO SEE WITH YOUR EYES.
Verse 10, "This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after thee; Every man (male) child among you shall be circumcised. And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token (sign) of the covenant between me and you. Let me repeat,
"When Jesus was circumcised in the flesh, as King, and High Priest of Israel, he sealed the covenant for the Jews for all time, it's their land, and today, if you open up your eyes, you can see that after 1900 years in exile, the LORD as promised, has and will continue to draw all Jews from around the world back to THEIR LAND. They will never, ever be evicted again, another one of God's promises.

I have explained thoroughly why we are dealing with SPIRITUAL Israel now. It would be nice if folks here would review the information I posted previously. You, placebo, are way behind in what is going on. You are not up to date, but way back 3,000+ years ago. The Jews broke their covenant with God and have to now face the consequences.

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appointed themselves one head."
Isaiah 60:21, “The people --- they shall inherit the land forever.”

The bond woman, Haggar, had a son, Ishmael. the LORD gave Ishmael a kingdom of his own and gave him 12 sons that would inherit it.
Your explanation holds no water. When you claim god is done with Israel, what you are implying is, the finished work of Jesus Christ was for nothing. His goal was to seek and same the Lost sheep of the house of Israel. If you are saying he failed, then there is no sense discussing the matter any further.
In you comments, you leave out key verses. First of all, we Gentiles are grafted in, or you may prefer, we are adopted into a family. Now, to be grafted into or adopted into something or someone, that someone or something has to exist. That someone is the Jews, the remnant of Jews the LORD has sanctified (set apart) for himself; they are called Israel. Unbelieving Jews are called Jacob. Concerning those set apart since Jesus' resurrection are first the 12 apostles, then add the 120, less 12, then the 3000 at Pentecost, then, for over the past 1900 years, the tens of thousands of Jews who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and have left Judaism behind. Even if only one Jew was left on earth from each of the 12 tribes, that is who the Gentiles would be grafted into.
Now, let's see if we can settle this with one of the following verses. You pick the one you would like to discuss. These are the LORD's words, these are his promises, not mine or yours. So, we can have confidence that what he declares, he will FULFILL. IF YOU CAN AGREE TO THAT, LET'S TALK.
The following was written by Ezekiel around 570 B.C. The LORD said in Ezekiel 36:19, “I scattered them (the Jews) among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them."
Ezekiel 36:22 then the LORD said, what I am going to do for the Jews is not for "their name's sake, --- but for mine holy name' sake," Verse 24, I will take you(Israel) from among the heathen and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land." I will sprinkle clean water upon you, --- I will cleanse you. I will give you a "new heart and a new spirit will I put with you; and take away your stony heart out of your flesh, I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments. Verse 34-36, The land will be tilled, and it will become like the Garden of Eden."
Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentile’s) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side (Russia, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq etc.), and bring them into their own land: And I will make them (the 12 tribes) one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king (Jesus) shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore at all: Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.”
Hosea 3:4-5, "The children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice (Without a temple). Afterward shall the children of Israel return (May 14, 1948) and seek the LORD their God (still future), and David their king (symbolic of Christ); and shall fear (seek after) the LORD and His goodness in the Latter days."
Hosea 1:10-11, But, "It shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, you are NOT my people, there it shall be said unto them, you ARE the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel (12 tribes) be gathered together and appointed themselves one head." That head is Jesus Christ, Israel's Messiah.
Isaiah 60:21, “The people --- they shall inherit the land forever.” Read chapter 60, it's filled with the LORD'S end-time promises to the Jews. He closes with, The people (Jews) --- they shall inherit the land forever.”
Pick one of the above, and we will discuss it.
