Exodus 3:2, “The angel of the LORD appeared unto (Moses) in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” And so, Israel a bush burned with fire, yet not consumed. The chosen people of God, remain the apple of his eye They have been expelled, exposed to misery, persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and murdered from the time of their captivity in Egypt to this very day, yet Israel lives as a nation. Have you ever asked yourself why, why have the Jews been persecuted so horribly, yet preserved as a people and nation?
God's Plan:
The LORD planned to use a descendant of Noah, from the line of his firstborn son, Shem, to separate a people for himself and create a nation. And through all their corruption, and foolishness, the Jews remain the “apple of God’s eye.” Here is the LORD’s explicit declaration to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, his twelve sons, and all the generations to follow.
Genesis 12:2, “I (the LORD) will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and make your name great,” The promise of a nation assumes the existence of a national homeland.
Genesis 17:19, “Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an EVERLASTING covenant, and with his seed (his descendants) after him.”
Now because they sinned against God, the ten Northern tribes were overrun by the Assyrians in 790 B.C. The Babylonians murdered tens of thousands of Jews, and in 586 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple and the city of Jerusalem. Around 465 B.C. the Jews escaped the ruin designed for them by Haman. They would suffer the onslaught of Ptolemy Lagus King of Egypt, the dispersion by Seleucus Nicator, the slaughter by Antiochus Epiphanes, the ravaging by Crassus the Roman General, and by Herod the Great.
After murdering the Lord Jesus, the scepter would temporally depart from Judah. But this was only the beginning of Israel’s calamities.
Deuteronomy 28:29, “And you (Israel) shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled (be plundered continually) evermore, and no man shall save you.” See Mathew 24.
Matthew 27:25, As the Lord hung from the cross, the people cried out, “Let his blood be on us and our children.” The people put a curse on their own heads and the heads of their children. Thousands would be killed at Cesarea, Damascus, Bethshan, and Alexandria, by Vespasian, and by the Roman Legions led by Titus. In Jerusalem, over a million were killed, and at Masasada a thousand more died by their own hand. Then the Roman Catholics began their persecution of Jews, this followed by the Islamic hordes, the Ottoman, and most recently Adolph Hitler and his Nazi party who took the lives of 6 million. The LORD’s judgments upon the Jews have been terrible, extending to the people, their religion, and the land. Their ceremonies essential to their religion are no longer observed, except by the Orthodox Jews: also, no longer observed is their ritual law, for they remain without a Temple, altar, and sacrifice.
But the LORD has kept his promise, Ezekiel 37:24, “I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and all your idols, will I cleanse you.”
The time of cleansing had arrived: It began on May 14, 1948, when a generation of newborn babies came into the World. God’s promise, “This generation shall not pass away until all these things (Matthew wrote about) are fulfilled.” This generation is now 76 years of age. Israel is at war in the North, South and West. Antisemitism abounds throughout the world, and hatred against them is on the rise. There remains for them one friend, the community of Christians. We must continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
The bush of Moses, surrounded with flames, forever burns, yet it will never be consumed.
Is God done with the Jews?

God’s word portrays the Jews as devastated by war and found to be morally and spiritually corrupt. And only by the grace and mercy of God has Israel survived to this day to learn the lesson that the desolation they have suffered is a direct result of their moral failures.
Isaiah 1:9 “Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us (the Jews) a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.”
Amos 4:11 “I have overthrown some of you (the Jews), as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have you not returned unto me, said the LORD.”
Prepare to meet the LORD warns the LORD: He will not visit Israel and a large part of the gentile world with salvation but with inevitable and complete judgment.

But let's not forget that GOD said He would gather a remnant of the Jews to complete the Twelve Tribes.
The Jews -Judah - were two of the original twelve but todays Jews are a pagan gang of impostors from the northeast who worship the dead, kill Christians, deny Jesus, etc.
Thisi s why in the last days they will forge an alliance with the muslims of Jerusalem as they are basically the same pagans doomed ot destruction.

Where did you ever get that nonsense from? I don't know any Jews that kill Christians. Russians, Chinese, and Muslims kill Christians.

Where did you dig up that nonsense? You better find yourself a new teacher.
Do you know what it means when the LORD said he will save for himself a small remnant? Today, there are 16 million Jews worldwide, One percent remnant =160,000 Jews have come to Jesus Christ.

The Jews have been temporally set aside: "Their house has been left unto them desolate." Today, they remain under God's curse for killing his Son, but the Lord is not finished with them. Their punishment has been great for the past 2000 years. I will begin to post a history of their punishment over the centuries.
The persecution of Jewish people has occurred on many occasions and at widely different geographical locations. Persecution has been a major part of Jewish history, and it has affected the history and social development of the countries and societies in which the persecution occurred. Europe and the Middle East have been chief areas of persecution throughout the ages, while South Asia usually provided a refuge, as in the case of the Baghdadi Jews.
Over the centuries, Christians, including members of the clergy, have held the Jewish people collectively responsible for killing Jesus, a practice originated by Melito of Sardis, as stated in the Boston College Guide to Passion Plays,
According to this interpretation, both the Jews present at Jesus Christ's death and the Jewish people collectively have committed the sin of “deicide,” or "god-killing.” The charge of “deicide” has led to hatred and violence against the Jewish community throughout the civilized world.

Post #66The Jews were the first people to be offered the position of ruling the earth with Jesus, when his kingdom was to be set up in the heavens. They, as a people, declined. Jesus went first to them, then later his disciples went to the nations because the Jews as a whole were totally against Jesus and his Kingdom. "Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name." (Acts 15:14, KJV) Who got the privilege to rule with Christ after the Jews evidenced that they weren't interested? The Gentiles. Post #67These words and promises are backed up by the LORD, not the Jews. The Abrahamic covenant was/is a non-conditional covenant. Its fulfillment depends solely on the LORD, not the people. Wrong on both counts. Adam and his family were to rule the earth, and the Kingdom was to be here on earth.
They, as a people, declined. Jesus went first to them, then later his disciples went to the nations because the Jews as a whole were totally against Jesus and his Kingdom. "
Not as a whole, only in part, 120 believed, months later, 3000 came to Christ.

Sorry, Peter wrote the Jews (strangers) in Gentile lands. It was Pentecost, 31 A.D. Again, a Gentile is not a stranger in his own country; the Jews were scattered abroad. On the day of Pentecost, Jews were commanded by God to come to Jerusalem. The Jews in Acts 2 came to Jerusalem from Parthians, Medes, Elamites, Mesopotamia, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, and parts of Libya, Cyrene, and Rome. Also, these Jews spoke different languages. Three thousand Jews were saved on the day of Pentecost, Jews from around the Roman Empire. They went home to their synagogues and spread the good news to other fellow Jews.
Seven years later, Paul became a chosen vessel to the Lord, he was to be the apostle of the Gentiles.
Yes, the LORD cast the Jews from their homeland for some 1900 years, but he did not forsake them. He promised to return them to their land and fulfill his covenants with them. This promise began its fulfillment on May 14, 1948. One generation, 80 years, is promised that they will witness all of Matthew 24. Israel today, 8 or 9 million have been gathered back to their land from every nation on earth as promised by the LORD. A promise made for the later days. Their time of punishment is near; it's the time of Jacob's Trouble. Yesterday, June 12, 2025, Israel attacked Iran; they are in the headlines around the world and in every nation. Time is running out; the Great Tribulation stands on the threshold of mankind. Time left? A little over two years. My guess, late October, 2027.

Re: Is God done with the Jews?
Post #68[Replying to placebofactor in post #67]
I humbly ask people here to read over my post #66. That shows that the nation as a whole has been disregarded by God, and to add that they killed His Son.....there is no more mercy for that nation. God turned to the nations to take out of them a people for His name. (Acts 15:14)
Jesus said as he looked over Jerusalem: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate." (Matthew 23:37,38, KJV)
Jehovah always said that if the nation did not keep their end of the covenant they would be cast off. They did not keep it. The Scriptures speaking about Israelites returning to the land was fulfilled over two thousand years ago when the Jews returned to their homeland from being scattered all about. A sizeable amount of them returned to Jerusalem from Babylon and eventually rebuilt the temple. So the Scriptures do not speak of Israel being renewed in these last days. The verses were fulfilled long ago. Now it is spiritual Israel that is fulfilling Scripture.
Jesus was pretty clear in what he said about natural Israel: "The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." (Matthew 21:43, KJV) Thus, see I Peter 2:9,10.

Re: Is God done with the Jews?
Post #69Nice try: you tell only part of the story, the parts that's convenient for the Watchtower. Desolate does not mean forever forsaken; it means temporally uninhabited, deserted, and laid waste. And that's the way Jerusalem was when the Roman Legions left in 70 A.D. However, if you haven't noticed, Jerusalem is flourishing today and is populated with Jews from the 12 tribes, as promised by the Lord.onewithhim wrote: ↑Mon Jun 16, 2025 10:59 am [Replying to placebofactor in post #67]

Read the following carefully, it's a promise from God himself to the Jews. To deny the following is to say Jehovah cannot keep his word. The following is God's judgment on Israel.
The LORD said in Ezekiel 36:19, “I scattered them (the Jews) among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them."
Hosea 3:4-5, "The children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice (Without a temple).”
Matthew 22:38, Jesus said, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”
Malachi was the last prophet, and until John the Baptist 400 years later, the LORD never spoke a word to the Jews.
For 1878 years, the land of Palestine lay in ruins, no longer called Israel, but Palestine, A wasteland under the Arab people who, for the most part, had abandoned it. Following are a few quotes from those who visited Israel before it became a nation on May 14, 1948.
Nothing there (in Palestine) to be seen but a little of the old walls which are yet remaining and all the rest is grass, moss, and weeds. — English pilgrim in 1590 A.D.
The country is in a considerable degree empty of inhabitants, and therefore its greatest need is of a body of population — British consul in 1857 A.D.
A quote from Mark Twain;
There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent (valley of Jezreel) — not for 30 miles in either direction --- One may ride 10 miles hereabouts and not see 10 human beings.
For the sort of solitude to make one dreary, come to Galilee . . . Nazareth is forlorn . . . Jericho lies a smoldering ruin . . . Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and humiliation . . . untenanted by any living creature.
A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds . . a silent, mournful expanse . . . a desolation . . . . We never saw a human being on the whole route . . . . Hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country . . . .
Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes . . . desolate and unlovely. Mark Twain
In the LORD's future blessing, and each case "Israel is called Israel, not Palestine.
But the LORD also said, Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentile nations) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:”
Hosea 3:5, “Afterward (in the latter days) shall the children of Israel return (May 14, 1948), and seek the LORD their God (still future), and David their king (symbolic of Christ); and shall fear (seek after) the LORD and His goodness in the Latter days (last days)."
Hosea 1:10-11, But, "It shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, you are NOT my people, there it shall be said unto them, you ARE the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of
Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appointed themselves one head."
Isaiah 60:21, “The people (Jews) they shall inherit the land forever.”
Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentile’s) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side (Russia, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq etc.), and bring them into their own land:”
Romans 11:26, "And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, there shall come out of Zion the Deliverer (Jesus,) and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob (still future)." STILL FUTURE
And the Jehovah's Witnesses are not the 144,000; the 12 tribes of Israel make up the 144,000, not the Watchtower and its crew.

The question is, "Is God done with the Jews?"
Jeremiah put it this way: first read verses 31-35. Jeremiah 31:36, "If those ordinances depart from before ---- then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus said the LORD; if heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, said the LORD."
The last time I looked, Israel still exists as a nation.
