If you can only use one word to describe a characteristic of God that we should follow as an example what word would you use?
And why do you choose that word?
How are we to be like God?

Humans become spirits by eating from the Tree of Life.
After they become spirits there is no need to eat.
God said, to him that overcometh will eat of the tree of life,(Rev 2:7)
Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Why would one need to eat from it again?

Re: How are we to be like God?
Post #212There's no real answer to that question. We should just make sure that we are doing what Jesus and his Father tell us to do. Then we won't have to worry about how many times we should eat of the tree of life. And we don't even know if the tree of life is literal. Not something to lose sleep over. What we do know absolutely is that We must get to know the Father and Jesus (John 17:3) and then do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21). If we are careful to do these things we will be in line to live forever. Post #214Why not quote the rest of what I said? You just pulled out one sentence, and out of order at that.myth-one.com wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:38 pmThen you do not understand the term "everlasting life."onewithhim wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 1:58 pmThere's no real answer to that question.myth-one.com wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:19 pmUpon eating from the Tree of Life once, one gains everlasting life.Capbook wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:00 pmWhat is the tree of life then for?myth-one.com wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 6:19 pm

As they will not die, why they will not die? Have they not eaten the fruit of the tree of life?(Gen 2:17)
And when they sinned, why they were not allowed access to the tree of life? (Gen 3:24)
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life
