Apologetics is Fun!

Post by POI »

Apologetics: reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something, typically a theory or religious doctrine.

For Debate: Please prove Jesus was not the devil in disguise. I say Jesus was actually the devil. I'll state my case below...

*****************************

This topic is created to demonstrate how any believer, in virtually any applied supernaturalness, can assert many things which cannot be falsified.

Below is my case. But being that apologetics is fun, I too have the right to pivot and move the goalposts, as needed, to retain my position: :approve:

P1: The devil exists
P2: The devil has superhuman abilities
P3: The devil's aim is to deceive humans. What better way to do this than to get millions/billions of humans to worship a false God, which breaks the 1st Commandment.
P4: God is not currently suppressing the devil

Okay, this should be enough to get us started. So please prove that Jesus was not the devil all along...
In case anyone is wondering... The avatar quote states the following:

"I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness."

The devil impersonated a Messiah.
Why do you think so?
Again, already addressed in the OP.

Jesus states he is the way. Following Jesus would be to follow a false prophet.
Even if that were true, Jesus tells us to Serve YHWH, so he is not making a good false prophet.

Jesus also said "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -- John 14:6

Therefore, the devil is successful in duping millions/billions into following a false prophet.

Yet, it doesn't matter if he is a false prophet if he leads us to the true God, which you claimed YHWH was the true God. You need to work on this some more.

Sorry buddy, but I do not need to work on it some more because if Jesus is a false prophet, then going through him leads to a counterfeit location. It would be no different than telling folks all need to go through me.

POI, you claim that a false prophet leads to a counterfeit destination. But if falsehood is so clear, then tell us: where is the true path? And how do you distinguish it from the deception woven into the very fabric of our seeking? If all roads lead back to the same cosmic mind, then what we call ‘counterfeit’ is just another path through the grand design. What if the ‘true’ and the ‘false’ are not opposites but necessary partners in revealing the whole?

Or maybe we are all in a simulation :)

Yes that is the question. How does being in a simulation answer the questions put to you?
