When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?
If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.
We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Re: Paradise on Earth
Post #3136You havent explained yourself. The word in the actual bible is EARTH (erets) what is this ... "The inhabitants of land"? There is only one word in the actual bible (erets) but you have made it four words, you have added 3 extra words. What are "the inhabitants of land" and how does that mean "the earth"?Capbook wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 7:02 amDo the inhabitants of the land does not include people? #6 definition. ..JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 5:23 amBut we are talking about Erets the earth not kosmos ...explain how erets can mean PEOPLE..

Is the lexicon wrong to you?
If not, then who are the inhabitants of land?
Human society is never a lexicon definition of erets (earth).
Don't you have lexicons? Can you share your human society definition from your lexicon.

Re: Paradise on Earth
Post #3138I know that but what does " inhabitants of the earth" refer to and can you explain how to use that information in the lexicon #6 to come to an understanding of what ERETS means in the context of the scriptures quoted. Please try and use some of your own words to explain how the lexicon (point #6) helps us understand the verses below ....
GENESIS 11:9 King James Version
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:
PSALMS 97:1 Douay-Rheims Bible
For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.
PSALM 66:4 King James Bible
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
PSALM 76v8
The earth was afraid and was silent ...
FILL IN THE BLANKS:
In these scriptures , when the bible says the word EARTH/land (erets) it is not refering to the [............ ] it is in fact refering to [ ................... ] , we know this because the planet does not have vocal chords and cannot speak.

Why don't you show your lexicon that it defined earth as human society?
All these will be settled.
In these scriptures , when the bible says the word EARTH/land (erets) it is not refering to the human society it is in fact refering to [ inhabitannt of the land ] , we know this because the planet does not have vocal chords and cannot speak.
