Jesus was posed a question regarding one woman with multiple husbands which predeceased her. When she entered the Kingdom of God, which earthly husband would become her husband in the Kingdom of Heaven? Jesus answered:
God created marriage to produce families. The sexual act within marriage procreates the human race. In the Kingdom of God, there are no humans and thus no marriage. Since every being in the Kingdom of God lives forever, there is no need to reproduce themselves. Therefore, there is no marrying or sex in the Kingdom of God. Every being in the Kingdom of God will be asexual.Mark 12:25 wrote:For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
The terrorists of 9/11 infamy, as well as others, were promised seventy-two virgins upon arrival in heaven immediately after their martyrdom. So that one selling point for martyrdom is good sex. If offered martyrdom, you should ask for this part of you pay in advance. Many beliefs and statements from Christian clergy are equally ridiculous.
God created the sexual act for procreation of the human race. Of course mankind, being wiser that God, attempts to improve on God's creation and perverts the sex act in many different ways. So there will be no "gay" or "straight" or "bisexual" beings in the Kingdom of God. However, there will be spirits in the Kingdom of God which were born again from former "gay" and "straight" and "bisexual" humans who lived on earth! There is only one unpardonable sin and it is not of a sexual nature. It is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. See The Unpardonable Sin.
You enter the Kingdom of God with a clean record. God wipes away your sins committed as a human. He no longer knows you were an adulterer, murderer, thief, homosexual, lier, etc; nor does He care! Your past will finally be past!
But do not assume for a moment that humans get a free ride by believing in Jesus. That is, one can do whatever he pleases, then accept Jesus and get a clean slate without consequences. We reap the rewards of our sins here on earth. These may include prison time, jail, fear of detection, guilt, venereal disease, shame, lost opportunities, divorce, low self-esteem; and the list goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on.
Only God forgives sin! Mankind has always had a problem in the area of forgiveness. Thus the constant unending arguments. Are they really necessary?
