If Jesus were not your sacrificial lamb...

Post by Elijah John »

If Jesus were not your sacrificial lamb, would you have any use for him at all? Or for his teachings?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Yes indeed.

He is and was all he said he was and is.

Blessed are those who put him and his God, the only true God, first.

Grace and peace to you.

God is the one who has always offered forgiveness. I believe that Jesus was a very great reminder of this. "turn from your evil ways and repent and I will wash you clean as fleece and remember your sins no more" (slight paraphrase, but it is a reoccurring theme in the OT)

Hello EJ!! I hope you are well!

God does forgive, but Jesus restores us to His righteousness. We can forgive people, but that does not mean that through our forgiveness there are no repercussions. Jesus pays for the repercussions of our sins. He restores us to righteousness.

He(yeshau) is the gate keeper. Yes, he makes us acceptable to God. Its always good to have a Jewish lawyer. :) The repercussions happen sometimes, anyway. This world has rules(laws), so does the heavenly.

Well, yes. He is God's first "begetting," and the one who was with God throughout the innumerable ages, even before the earth was created. Jesus knows Jehovah better than any other living thing, and he has a great love for not only his God and Father Jehovah, but for the earth and humans as well.

To listen to him is a wise thing to do.
