Tim is right, while Jesus was on earth, he was completely 100% human. No "demi-god" (that is not a biblical notion), human only.

Nephillim were not spirit creatures. They were "the men of fame". Genesis 6:4brianbbs67 wrote:Remember, Nephillim? Reason for the flood..2timothy316 wrote: Well, how many spirit creatures have been born of a human couple? Answer: none. Jesus was flesh and blood.

Gos word is this;
Mat 1:18 Here is how the birth of Yeshua the Messiah took place. When his mother Miryam was engaged to Yosef, before they were married, she was found to be pregnant from the Ruach HaKodesh.
Gods words say at vs 18 " here is HOW the birth of Yeshua the Messiah TOOK Place. This says that the HOLY SPIRIT conceived Yeshua in the womb of the VIRGIN..

Post #14Quite. OR:Wootah wrote:If a being was truly omniscient they could set aside their omniscience.[[url=http://debatingchristianity.com/forum/v ... 856#911856]Replying So a person can hardly be 100% man and be omniscient at the same time.
Contradiction solved sorry.
The most used definition of omniscience: Omniscience /ɒmˈnɪʃəns/, mainly in religion, is the capacity to know everything that there is to know which is usually extended from time eternally past to time eternally future, is a pagan Greek philosophy that the Greek worshipping idolatrous Fathers of the Church allowed into our doctrine.
It is pagan because it blasphemes GOD's very nature of being loving and righteous by the implication that HE knew who would end in hell before HE created them BUT CREATED THEM ANYWAY. Sure there are those who identify as Christian who believes HE does this evil and worse evil but I do not.
I take my definition of HIS all knowing nature from Acts 15:18 Known to GOD are all HIS works from the beginning of this world / age. Since HIS works are, as far as I know, universally held to be that which HE creates by HIS decree of creation, it implies that if HE did not create something, HE did not know it. [I know it is rather radical to choose the Bible over Greek wisdom but let's just go with it for a bit, eh?]
Therefore all our free will decisions IF NOT CREATED BY HIS DECREE would not be known to HIM until we created them ourselves. A true free will depends upon we ourselves being the sole creator of our decisions so I suggest that be giving us a free will, HE did not know the results of our free will choices till we made them.
Well, this works for humans but does it work the same in the Divine Unity named YHWH? WE know that YHWH has a free will but do we know that the individual Divine Persons of the Trinity have a free will, that is, can withhold their decison so that the other two Persons do not know what will be decided until it is done? To say no implies we have a power the GODly Persons do not...interesting.
Anyway, this paradigm suggests that when the Son stepped up as the lamb slain by His promise to be our saviour, GOD the Father and GOD the Holy Spirit may have not decided the exact circumstances of the life the Divine Son would lead...leaving HIS earthly incarnation in the dark about the things not decided yet.
Possible but who is to say without revelation?
PCE Theology as I see it...
We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.
This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

Re: Jesus divinity
Post #15You are describing some odd split Jesus here. A half god, half man combo possessing the same body. In any case, you are still arguing that Jesus could not know things that Jesus knows. It just doesn't add up.
I addressed your claim, not DI's.
Essentily DI is claiming that God is not omnipotent and cant set aside his omniscience. If God is not omnipotent then He ain't God.

To cut to the chase a little. How can Jesus pay for sins against God unless he is God?

If your claim is true, then the birth of Jesus would have to be viewed as evil. It would be the same kind of evil that led to the flood. God would have needed to destroy almost all life again to rid the world of the evil spirit/human hybrid. Are you sure that's the argument you want to make?

Yes they were. Yet that doesn't change my original statement that 'no spirit creatures have ever been born from human couples'. Yet it does appear that clearly those wayward angels made human bodies for themselves to have sexual relations with Earth's women. This led to some sort of unnatural human offspring not any sort of spiritual offspring. The Bible says of spirit bodies and fleshly bodies, “There are heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort." 1 Cor. 15:40. There is no indication that they are the same thing.brianbbs67 wrote:Yes, Nephillim were flesh but their fathers were divine.2timothy316 wrote:Nephillim were not spirit creatures.
