Everyone talks about how great heaven will be, but what will you actually do in heaven for all of eternity? I assume you won't need a job since everything is provided for you. No need for food since you don't have a body (stomach). It doesn't appear that you can intervene in Earthly affairs to help the poor humans.
Do you sleep in heaven? So, what will souls do in heaven forever? Won't you eventually get bored?

When Christ returns the dead Saints and those in Christ will be in the first resurrection 1 Cor.15 v 23 . They will be Kings and Priests of God and reign with Christ on the earth during the millennium. Rev.5 v 10 , and 20 v 6.

Nice suggestion, but I think I'll pass. I don't want to start seeing ghosts.Confused wrote:Though I usually avoid one liners, we see eye to eye again. ithinkthereforeiam, you are speaking literal in an arena in which we can only apply what is logical. If you seek to find your answer, then might I suggest you perform what they did in the movie "Flatliners". Perhaps your answers lie there/achilles12604 wrote:Well duh. Everyone in this post is just guessing, because no one has gone to heaven and come back to tell us what we're in for. The bible is also just as vague about what heaven will be like. So no one really knows, but some will follow a religion that promises to show you the way to this mysterious place.

I'm just saying why doesn't the bible give any specific details about what you're in for in heaven? God gave pretty specific details to Noah on how to build the Art and how you need to live your life to get into heaven. How do you know it will be a happy place? There are stories of conflict in heaven.achilles12604 wrote:Well duh. What happens after God destroys the earth ?
God is not going to destroy the earth , he formed and made it , he established it , he created it not in vain , he formed it to be inhabited Is.45 v 18.
But he will cleanse all evil from it by fire. Rev.20.
When that is done there will be a new heaven and a new earth and the holy city, the new Jerusalem comes down from heaven to be established on the new earth. In it will be the converted resurrected people then in spirit-form.
This planet earth will become the Universe-ruling Kingdom of God with Him among us. Rev.21.
