Cruz "disses" Trump.

Post by Elijah John »

Ted Cruz has been taking a lot of flak from commentators and party members for not being a "team player" and endorsing Donald Trump last night.

Is this fair?

Keep in mind, Donald Trump insulted Ted Cruz's wife, AND his father.

For debate, if you were in his position, could you endorse someone who insulted your spouse and insulted your father?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Yea, it is fair. If he didn't plan on endorsing Trump, then he should've kept his 'face' out of the RNC. He wants to have his cake and eat it to, he wanted to show up at the RNC for the publicity but, at the same time, he didn't want to endorse Trump. Apparently he doesn't know what political conventions are for.

He has every right to not endorse Trump, but if that's his choice he should've stayed clear of the convention.

I agree with a lot of your reasoning, but I differ with your conclusion. Now that Trump's the official nominee, I feel I have no choice but to vote for him. Plus, I like Mike Pense.
Can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic Elijah. You're seriously considering voting for Trump!?

And I have no idea who Mike Pence is, but when Trump picked him I was extremely disappointed. It's just another old, opportunistic white guy. Hillary did the same thing. I'm sick of these same, stereotypical old white politicians running the country.

Yes, his children are very impressive. He must have done something right, especially since children who grow up rich and famous tend to become messed up.

The Republicans had 15 quality candidates to choose from, it's a shame it has come down to this.
I don't really despise Hillary as much as many people tend to. Yea, she shamelessly lied about her e-mails and yea, she seems to be slimy (like Ted Cruz) but if she governs the country as a centrist as her husband did then everything should be fine.

She understands that free trade is a good thing, she doesn't buy into the pseudo-intellectual trash that Bernie Sanders spews, she understands the benefits of globalization, she'll keep taxes moderately low on corporations, etc.

Trump would be equally as good, but he's so insane that I literally fear him becoming Hitler.

Yes, I dislike a lot of Hillary's policies that much. Abortion on demand with no restrictions, for one thing...At least Tim Caine favors parental consent and a ban on partial birth abortions.

I was too, until I heard his speech and his solid midwestern temprament, dry humor and character. He said Trump was dynamic, flamboyant, and he chose me (Pense) to balance the ticket!

I was hoping Trump would pick Newt, Sherriff David Clarke, Scott Brown, Condolezza Rice...but Pense should be fine, seems solid, unlike Trump, seems to have some depth.

Shouldn't we judge on the content of their character and not on the color of their skin? Works both ways.
