Post #13Jesus in Matthew did not say, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the names of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." If you were to study the concept of the Name of God in the Bible, you would find that it has a meaning quite beyond label used to distinguish one from another. From a trinitarian point of view, the writers of the Bible never specify a name for either the Father nor the Holy Spirit. Only the Son (Jesus) and God collectively (named with the Tetragrammaton) are given names.

1- God told us what His Name would be ...FOREVER, even if, for a time, a language like Koine Greek didn't have a known version. So God has a name, Jesus- who is NOT the Almighty has a name, and the holy spirit, being as Gabriel put it - "the Power of the Most High"- is NOT an imaginary Ghost-God, as originally created by the Catholic Church, certainly has no name,
2-"it has a meaning quite beyond label"= a nice try, but as with MOST biblical subjects is VERY easy to understand- unless, as most do, one attempts to mash church dogma into it; oil & water! In Hebrew and Greek "holy" means clean, set aside as pure, and "spirit" means breath and wind- and unseen force. It thus makes it easy to understand Gabriel's words to Mary, why God HIMSELF calls it an "it" (and other Bible writers), why it is divided into 71 portions (Numbers 11), poured out- and NEVER seen as a being, as God, Christ, and angels are...ONLY as energy- the Shekinah Light in the Temple, fire from the heavens, and glowing light (Jesus baptism, Pentecost).
3- The Bible writers never HAD a "tinitarian view"- or they, too, would have used the church psychobabble so common for centuries, such as, heh. "Divine Essence"...
