Gingrich: Obama Has a "Kenyan, Anti-Colonial" Worldview

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has accused President Obama of being a con man who has a "Kenyan, anti-colonial" worldview. Gingrich made the comment in an interview with the National Review. Gingrich made the comment as he was praising a recent cover story in Forbes magazine that claimed Obama has adopted the anti-colonial ideology of his father who was born in Kenya.

And I thought the Grinch was just another mud-slinging demagogue with a failed Reaganite policy (Contract on America). Nice to know he puts the President along with Jefferson, Madison, Washington, etc.
This war, should it come, is intended to mark the
official emergence of the United States as a
full-fledged global empire, seizing sole
responsibility and authority as planetary policeman.
It would be the culmination of a plan 10 years or more
in the making, carried out by those who believe the
United States must seize the opportunity for global
domination, even if it means becoming the "American
imperialists" that our enemies always claimed we were.

World country has ever managed to eliminate so
entirely from its media all objectivity - much less
dissent."

Very good. I guess it is fair game to call public officials by deragatory names, since it has been done by by two members so far.

So, if this action is appropriate and approved by the moderators, can Obama be interchangable with Hussein?

The Grinch=Gingrich
Hussein=Obama

Do you agree with that, DeBunkem?

Since this is directed in part at me, you may feel free to call Obama "Hussein" to your heart's content. And I, for my part, will continue to call Gingrich "The Grinch", Clinton "Succum Willy" and Palin "That Ignorant Snow-Whore". :)

Moderator Intervention

Perhaps a moderator should step in here.

While we allow more latitude in making negative comments about public figures than we do about other forum members, one can still be cited for inflammatory language directed at or about a public figure. If the intent is to insult or denigrate or the language is largely spurious to any legitimate debate question, then I would say it is liable for citation for being against the rules.

There is really no legitimate debate rationale for giving public figures negative nicknames, even something as mild as "the grinch."

I will bring the issue to the attention of the other mods as well for their input.

This action is not appropriate. Calling anyone a derogatory name would be in violation of rule 16:

16. In general, all members are to be civil and respectful.

:confused2:

Want to compare the Reagan and Obama recoveries? We should have such 'failure'.
