Does The Mainstream Media Have An Immoral Liberal Bias?

The Networks of the mainstream media are generally CNN, CBS, NBC, and ABC. The newspaper are usually the New York Times and the Washington Post. Are these networks and newspapers NOT covering stories that may be particularly damaging for the Obama administration?

Here are a few stories downplayed or not covered by the mainstream media

1) The Black Panthar Voting Intimidation Case
2) The ACORN corruption case
3) The Sacking of the Marxist, 9/11 Truther Green Jobs Czar Van Jones

However, the state run media seemed to incorporate hours and hours on the ever important story of SARAH PALIN'S CLOTHES. Unbelievable.

From what I've read the mainstream media as a whole does have a slight liberal bias. It isn't that much though. And yes there is a fair amount of immorality in the media, but that takes place on both sides and I can't honestly think of a news station that even comes close to Fox in terms of getting lampooned for outright idiocy and lies.

2) Is it in the tank for Barack Obama

During the elections a case could certainly be made for this. I think that has less to do with him being liberal than it did him being an unusually young, extremely well-spoken candidate who is also probably the first minority candidate to even have a real shot at becoming president. Those qualities make him interesting and interesting gets people to watch more news.

Yes, also the fact that there was a stark contrast between Obama and the eight previous years of buffoonery, pathological lies, two unnecessary wars, the destruction of the economy, and the attempted destruction of the Constitution. The population as well as the media (Except FOX) saw through the curtain, and exposed the fraud and corruption.

I think I'd characterize the war in Afghanistan more as horrendously executed than unnecessary. If they'd used even half as many troops there as they did in Iraq it probably would have been over in a few months.

The economy collapsing was also much more the private sector's fault than Bush's. Though the more subtle long-term damage his policies will end up doing thanks to increasing the debt in totally useless ways will probably contribute to our country losing its place of prominence and lagging behind countries like China for years to come.

He was a buffoon and I think his administration took a wrecking ball to the country with their incompetency, but he did a bad enough job without heaping on crap that genuinely wasn't his fault.

The media is as liberal and immoral as the conservative corporations that own them. I don't recall immoral themes from moderate PBS. Besides a few commentators on MSNBC and CNN, where is the "Immoral" liberal media? Michael Moore? He's always right, but I haven't seen any gratuitous violence or nudity in any of his movies. Who is the corporate producer of "Sex and the City" and "The Sopranos?" Wasn't there a Bush era RW religiose anti-gay dude named Horseley who claimed he had sex with horses?

Anyone with half-a-brain who watches the media coverage on TV and the newspapers would realize just what a free pass the repugs get on everything and anything they say or do and how the Democrats get punched for anything they say or do.

Any media report which is not right out of Rush Limbaugh, Gordon Liddy or RNC headquarters playbooks is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

Any media segment which does not bash democrats 24/7 is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

Any media that does not bash the Clintons regularly is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

Any media piece which does not sing the praises of the GOPers 24/7 is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

Any media segment which is objective is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

Any media piece which points out the errors of the GOP agenda is "liberal media" for the conservatives.

The media run the govt.. The US media, being so BLATANTLY conservative, it's hard for the Democrats and the Liberals to drive home their side - fearing the repercussions. The conservatives appearing frequently on the shows proves the conservative bias in the media, not the opposite.

Any MINOR criticism of the POLICIES of their party brings HUGE whining from the elephants. It is just pathetic! But the media can do 24/7 coverage of the PRIVATE LIVES of democrat politicians.
