In Luke 23:34 Jesus is quoted as saying, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
So it is quite clear that Jesus and his father (god, I presume) are two distinct entities: one talking to the other. Yet in John 10:30 we read, "- Jesus answered them, 'I and My Father are one.'
So, just how can any entity be the father of himself?
How do you explain John 10:30

Which raises the question; why did god permit evil to exist, even before he created Earth? Unless I was a masochist I surely wouldn't want evil around if I had the power to eliminate it, an option any omnipotent being would posses.nancyd wrote:
Maybe, maybe not . Perhaps its like the Queen saying " We are not amused"
But it does seem God is having a conversation later when he seems worried that humans will gain immortality.
" And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:"

...........this is why God permits evil
tyr·an·ny (t¹r“…-n¶) n., pl. tyr·an·nies. 1. A government in which a single ruler is vested with absolute power. 2. The office, authority, or jurisdiction of an absolute ruler. 3. Absolute power, especially when exercised unjustly or cruelly:
Because God made all his creatures as free moral agents.
Yes God has absolute rule and Yes God is the single authority and has absolute power..........but you cannot force anyone to LOVE you........
Forced love is not love in every sense of the word.
No matter what a tyrant can do regardless of power they cannot force anyone to love them........God is not a tyrant........his very nature is the complete opposite of.
