Jesus: Democrat or Republican?

Post by Bio-logical »

I was having a discussion with a friend specifically about why Christians (devout ones) always seem to vote republican. Both parties pander to them during election time but no matter what they are almost exclusively single issue voters, and that issue is of course abortion. This lead to the following question:

Would Jesus be a Democrat or a Republican if alive in America today?

Of course the logical statement would be neither, he would be independent because neither party follows his word exactly, but the question really is designed to weed out if Christians are doing the right thing by voting Republican, if that party more closely resembles what Jesus taught or not.

I will get the ball rolling by offering the dissenting opinion, I think he would be a Democrat. Jesus was, according to the bible stories, sort of a bleeding heart liberal. He gave food and healthcare to even the most downtrodden in the society, He did not believe in making personal wealth more important than the welfare of others and he was very much against violence in favor of talking it out instead.

What do you think?

Proverbs 6:24-25

24 keeping you from your neighbor's wife,
from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.

25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty
or let her captivate you with her eyes.
Well ain't that a fine how do ya do. Make women pretty and then get on to us for looking.

What a cruel, cruel god.
Even better it is all her fault.
Don't let the wayward woman captivate you.
She is just asking for it.

WELL THE FIRST QUESTION IS WHO RULES THE WORLD?Jesus said: "The ruler of this world will be cast out." And he added: "The ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me."—John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11.
THATS MEANS IT NOT JESUS.WHO IS IT THEN?WHAT DO THE BIBLE SAY?

It says: "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." And the Bible identifies him, saying: "The one called Devil and Satan . . . is misleading the ENTIRE inhabited earth."—1 John 5:19; Revelation 12:9.

On an occasion when Jesus was "tempted by the Devil," Jesus did not question Satan's role as the ruler of this world. The Bible explains what happened: "The Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: 'All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.' Then Jesus said to him: 'Go away, Satan!'"—Matthew 4:1, 8-10.

Think about this. Satan tempted Jesus by offering him "all the kingdoms of the world." Yet, would Satan's offer have been a real temptation if Satan was not actually the ruler of these kingdoms?
When satan was cast down from the skys the BABUL said that 1/3 of the unfaitfull angel went down with him.Thats million and millions of them.
Significantly, Satan is not alone in his rulership of the world. He was successful in persuading some of the other angels to join him in rebellion against God. These became demons, his spirit accomplices. The Bible speaks of them when it urges Christians: "Stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but . . . against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places."—Ephesians 6:11, 12.

Happily, the time is now near when Satan and his cohorts will be no more! "The world [including its demon rulers] is passing away," the Bible assures, "but he that does the will of God remains forever." (1 John 2:17) What a relief it will be to have that evil influence removed! May we, therefore, be among those who do God's will and enjoy life forever in God's righteous new world.—Psalm 37:9-11, 29; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:3, 4.

BUT DO YOU REALLY BELIVE THAT WITH THE BESTS INTENTS MEN OF FLESH AND BLOOD CAN CHANGE THIS WORLD TO SOMETHING POSITIVE?
THAT IS THINKING OF THAT ALL DOSE SUPERNATURAL CREATURES(SATAN THE DEMONS)WANT TO RUIN EVERYTHIN?
CAN A LITTLE BABY WIN OVER A GROWN MAN?
NO THE ONLY POSITIVE CHANGE THATS COMING IS WHEN JEHOVAH GOD BRINGS HES KINGDOM THAT WILL BE RULE BY HES SON JESUS CHRIST.
AND HE PROMISE IS TO TURN THIS WORLD IN TO A PARADISE.
THE ONLY WAY TO DO THIS IS BY TAKING AWAY SATAN AND ALL THE MILLIONS OF DEMONS ALSO WICKED PERSONS THAT ONLY WANTS TO HURT THEIR FELLOW MAN.
