AFAIK, Israel & Judaism, although there are some law enforcement agencies that where badges shaped like that (perhaps to show some connection to the principles of Judaism-influenced Christianity?)

OTOH, there's this: http://watch.pair.com/mark.html #-o

This symbol is an upright triangle (trinity) and a converged downward triangle (trinity) emphasizing the Hermetic Emerald Tablet of 'As Above, So Below'.

The 6-pointed star is not a Jewish symbol, but an Egyptian symbol which Israel adopted

This symbol.is the Egyptian hieroglyphic for the ... ‘Land of the Spirits.'
In the cosmogony of the Egyptians, we find belief in the first man-god (Horus) and his death and resurrection as Amsu
This (6-pointed star) was the first sign or hieroglyphic of Amsu
Amsu - ‘the risen Horus' - was the first man-god risen in spiritual form

Very interesting, but, I'll bet that's not what it means to the people who wear --

or something like these six-pointed badges. And, I wonder how many of them give any meaning to the shape of the star?

FWI, I wore the first badge for 13 years and it meant nothing more to me, then, than a badge of office.

I am going to guess it is nothing more than two D's interlocked representing the Dodge Brothers (our first institute of Marshalling this country)

I hadn't heard that meaning for a six-pointed, star-shaped badge. Thanks for that! O:)

It may also have come from the former logo removed from early Dodge cars when the Dodge brothers of auto history fame believed some foreign markets might not buy their cars if they bore a Jewish symbol --
