WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

If one is filled with the Holy Spirit he is filled with the ‘revelation of the knowledge of God’. There is no separation between the Spirit and the Word; they are one in the same. One has no more or no less of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him than he has of Knowledge.

John 6:63, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

Revelation 19:13, “…and his name is called The Word of God.”

Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

In reading you can near always interchange the words, The Truth, The Spirit, The Holy Ghost, The Comforter, God, The Word, The Great I Am, The Words of Truth, The Holy One, Lord, Father, The Almighty God, etc. because they are all synonymous.

For instance:

I Cor 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion…”
For the Word is not the author of confusion
For the Holy Spirit is not the “ “ “
For the Comforter is not the “ “ “
For the Father is not… And so on and so forth.

God is only called by different names so that our minds can better catch His meaning. God is a Spirit, but we relate to the things that we see with our natural eyes, of which we are admonished to train our minds to the things of the Spirit.

The Word is called Father when we need to understand (according to our natural ways) the family tie God has to us.

The Word is called Spirit when we need to understand that the Word is invisible and God created everything that we see from things that we don’t see. Every definition given of God is invisible except for Christ when He was manifest in the flesh to die for the sins of the world.

At Pentecost the people were not filled with a feeling, or a wind, or and apparition (according to the natural), they were filled with the Words of Knowledge; knowledge that had never before in ages past been revealed to mankind. The Comforter had come; the Word, the Knowledge of God written and recorded for our learning.

Acts 2:11, “…we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”

God the Father, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, according to Ephesians 1:8-9, “… hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself.”

I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

The wisdom and knowledge of God (Holy Spirit) was poured out at Pentecost and revelation was given to the Apostle Paul and recorded so that we could also walk in the knowledge of the Spirit.

I Corinthians 2:10, “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit (the Word): for the Spirit (the Word) searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” Heb 4:12.

When one walks in the Spirit he walks in knowledge. The Word is the Comforter and regardless of your feelings; happy, sad, sick or well, if the Word is in us the Word will comfort us in time of need. If we are discouraged then Knowledge comes to our rescue and the Holy Spirit is called the Comforter. If Satan condemns us then the Word in us casts down ever vain imagination that would exalt its self above the Knowledge of God. If one does not have the Word dwelling in him then one is unable to defend himself, he has no armor, he has no oil in his lamp; he is void of the Holy Spirit.

If one is looking for some physical feeling that the Holy Spirit is in our presence we are looking in the wrong direction. If we are looking for a feeling or a sign then we are looking to gratify the flesh and the flesh profits nothing.

The Word is referred to as the Holy Spirit because, unlike the words of man, God’s Word, when lifted from the pages of God’s Holy Book, become alive in us and sharper than any two edged sword. We are able to wrestle and win against the spirits of darkness; our enemy. The Word is indeed alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword.

Luke 3:22, “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou are my beloved Son; in thee I am well-pleased.”

The Holy Spirit was not the dove. The Holy Spirit was the Word and the Word was with God and God said: Thou are my beloved Son…The sign of the dove was given as a witness of the Words of peace that Christ was bringing to the world in the form of knowledge. The dove was not the Holy Spirit; the dove accompanied the Holy Spirit as a sign of peace. The Holy Spirit was the voice of God. Those signs were to jump-start the truth and because the mystery of godliness had never before been revealed in its fullness.

Romans 16:25-26, “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26) But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.”

How were the prophets identified as having the Holy Spirit? Without exception, those who had the Word of God in them!

Pentecost: Acts 2:2-4, “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit (the Word of God) gave them utterance.”

The wind was not the Holy Spirit nor was the tongues of fire upon their heads. The wind and the tongues of fire were a sign of God’s Word and its power. God’s Word is a consuming fire.

Acts 2:5-8, “And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language and they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Acts 2:11, “…we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”

Genesis 1:1-3, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

What moved upon the face of the waters? The Living Word moved upon the face of the waters!

And God said, Let there be light and by his Word there was light.

The Father is the Word and the Word is God.
The Word is the Spirit, they are one. They are in perfect agreement and there is no division between them.

I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

Ezekiel 36:26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

What was the new heart? The New Covenant bears the Living Words of God with the most kindhearted and tender mercy ever known to man and is identified as the Comforter. What was the new Spirit? It was the Word of the revelation of the Power of the Resurrection; the mystery of godliness revealed. What was the stony heart that was removed? The Law!

In years past I have been in churches that have believed that the Spirit was manifested to them by falling backwards; I was one of them. This is nonsense! The man next to me fell back and when the ‘catchers’ didn’t catch him, he was a giant of a man, he was terrible injured when he hit the edge of one of the pews. I was horrified.

We do not need a falling back experience today because the NT is full of the witness of the awesome power of God. At that time God felt it was necessary to indulge the flesh to bear witness of the Spirit, but today nearly everyone has a Bible on their shelf, or at the very least they have access to one.

John 4:23, “…God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.”

John 6:63, “It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

So come now, let us reason together folks; if slaying in the Spirit was evidence that one had the Holy Spirit, what good has it done? Is anyone anymore knowledgeable of God when he stands up than when he fell down? The only one that I can think of is the one who hit the pew. Christians today are the most confused and deceived people on earth.

It is the Words of the Spirit that make one wise in knowledge, which is why we are admonished to study. One cannot get zapped one day by an apparition and walk in Knowledge the next, it just doesn’t happen that way. Pentecost happened once because the mystery of godliness had not yet been revealed to the world. Pentecost and divine revelation accompanied by signs initiated the recorded Word of God. There are no shortcuts today, we have the written Word and one must study to show himself approved of God, a workman that needs not be ashamed. And by this we are filled with the Spirit.

John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

Without a doubt we have underestimated the awesome treasure that most have sitting on their shelves, the secret to Eternal Life is hidden within its pages.

Oh, just for cross reference, places where Ka'ari has been translated properly as 'like a lion' are psalm 7:2 , Isaiah 18:13, , psalm 10.9 and a few others. Perhaps you can answer me while is "Ka'ari" translated as 'lion' or 'like a lion' in everyplace in the bible except this one place?

And you ignored my request to explain how the Romans "lionized" Jesus' hands and feet.

I am going to skip over the places where you read the trinity into the passages while claiming you took it from the passage (I don't see HOW you can take the trinity from the passages you wrote unless you already assumed the trinity). Repeating those passages don't demonstrate how you took the trinity FROM it at all. It just shows the rather common attitude that of the time period that God is the father of us all. (My father and your father is one phrase attributed to Jesus).


And , the english translators of psalm 22 mistranslated 'Like a lion' into pierced. Simple as that. Your question above and beyond that shows a vast misunderstanding of what was claimed.. and is blowing it up.

My challenge to you, which you are ignoring, is showing another incidence of "Ka'ari" that has been translated as pierced. If you can't, then it is definately a
mistranslation, and you can not use it as one of your 'prophecies'

The Bible says, as I have already explained, my wife and I are one flesh, though in natural terms of course I am a separate person and she is a separate person. Just because she is on a business trip I would not say we are no longer one in the flesh. She has her mission, I have mine tending her business while she is away.

The writers of the Bible have engaged in a very common practice known as a figure of speech. You and your wife are not literally one flesh. This is well understood, so that when the writers say that you are, we know what they mean.

Are you arguing that God is one only in a figurative sense? God is really three but act in concert as if they were one.

On the cross Jesus was still the Son of God, the Christ.

The Son of God or a son of God or God, the Son.
