Jesus Is God - Matthew 21:15-16

Taken from :

Children are shouting praise for God in the temple courts and the teachers were upset.
Matthew 21:15-17
New International Version
15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.

16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.

“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,

“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”
Jesus is quoting from the OT Psalm 8:2 and claiming that the miracles he has done have called forth the children's praise.
Psalm 8:2
New International Version
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
Psalm 8 starts with
1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
So there is no denying Psalm 8 is about YHWH.

Jesus is quoting from the OT Psalm 8:2 talking about children praising YHWH and Jesus applies it to himself.

Jesus is claiming that the psalm refers to him and that he is YHWH.

Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

I don't think so, for example because Jesus tells he could do nothing without God. The praise goes ultimately to God, not to Jesus.

Jesus therefore answered them, "Most assuredly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does like-wise.
John 5:19

Ok, Matthew 21:15-16 doesn't say Jesus is the God.
