Matthew 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Does a tree make itself? I think not.
Does a seed plant itself? I think not
Matthew 15:13
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Peace

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Re: Who makes the good trees?
Post #4I would look at it this way. We are all to a certain extent empty vessels of clay. What we grow up to be as moral agents depends on the 'seed' that plants itself in the soil of our hearts. That seed can be from God (the Word of God), or it can be from other sources. If it is from other sources, we will grow into 'trees' (/moral agents) that ought to be rooted up, versus those of the true vine that bring life.Stewardofthemystery wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 10:23 am Matthew 12:33

So the making of the tree is very much an act of planting the right seed and nurturing it to take root and grow. I think we all do this whether we like it or not insofar as we all spread a certain word through our actions in this world. Some of us are evangels and spread the Word of God (becoming as such an extension of God). Others not so much.
