Jesus is God - is Jesus the bridegroom?

Some relevant NT passages snipped from the blog post
Jesus referred to Himself as the bridegroom when He talked about why His disciples didn’t fast (Mark 2:18 – 20). Likewise, John, the Baptist, presented himself as the bridegroom’s friend and declared that the bride belongs to the bridegroom (John 3:29). The bride of Christ or the church consists of the entire body of believers throughout the ages, all who have received salvation by grace through faith. The New Jerusalem is also referred to as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband and alludes to Christ as the bridegroom (Revelation 21:2, 9 – 10).
Some relevant OT passages

For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
I think the union between man and God that was restablished in Jesus is quite clear. When we put our faith in Jesus we are accepting that what Jesus did has united God and man. It took God to unite what man tore apart.

So, Jesus is God or is Jesus some rando that calls himself the bridegroom?

I believe what is said in the Bible:

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1 Tim. 2:5

He is the bridegroom, the Rock, the Lord of lords, the King of kings, the Saviour and so much more that it takes a very stubborn heart for someone who believes in God not to accept that Jesus is God.

Peace.

I think more accurate translation would be redeemer, not saviour. But, in any case, Jesus says there is only one true God who is greater than him. If you think Jesus is the God, why don't you believe what he says?

This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
John 17:3
the Father is greater than I.
John 14:28

Also Paul says there is one God who is not the same as Jesus. But I can understand if you don't believe Paul.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1 Tim. 2:5

1. Some titles are shared by both the Father and the Son; this does not make them equal in age , rank or authority.

2. Jesus refers to himself as "the bridegroom" (of the anointed congregation of Christians ) not "the husband" (of the nation if Israel).

Can you see any weaknesses in that reply of yours?

Is the church the bride of Christ?

Not only is Jesus God and the bridegroom, He is Lord of the Sabbath! Why? Because He created it. It is He who rested on the seventh day.

No not “in any case”, please explain why “redeemer” is a better translation than “saviour.”

Why would you accuse me of not believing what he says?

You say
“Jesus says there is only one true God”

“[O]nly one true God” as opposed to what other God(s); Jesus?

You think that was his message?

John 14:28
The Father certainly is greater than the son.

Why, do you not believe Paul?
