Lake of fire
Post #1It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. (2 Pet 3:9)
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. (John 4:14)
God has no will to torture or annihilate anyone for forever.

Ezekiel 28:18
"You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.(NKJV)
Are you trying to show me a verse that you think contradicts 2 Pet 3:9 and John 4:14?
Here’s a third witness to show you that God will save every last soul that ever existed.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.(Isaiah 45:22-23)
So, who will become ashes?

"Whosoever drinketh", how about those unbeliever who will not drink? John 4:14
The offer of the gospel are universal, that is an invitation to all, that is we had to accept the offer.
How about those unbeliever who will not accept the offer?
Isaiah 45:22
[All the ends of the earth] For the meaning of this phrase, see the note at Isa 40:28. The invitation here proves:
1. That the offers of the gospel are universal. None are excluded. The ends of the earth, the remotest parts of the world, are invited to embrace salvation, and all those portions of the world might, under this invitation, come and accept the offers of life.
2. That God is willing to save all; since he would not give an invitation at all unless he was willing to save them.
3. That there is ample provision for their salvation; since God could not invite them to accept of what was not provided for them, nor could he ask them to partake of salvation which had no existence.
4. That it is his serious and settled purpose that all the ends of the earth shall be invited to embrace the offers of life.

Post #73It it saying that the offer of salvation is extended to all humans. It is up to them to accept this salvation through Jesus Christ, but if they don't they won't be saved. "Every knee" refers to those who accept the offer of salvation. Many humans will not.EBA wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 7:31 pmInteresting.EBA wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 4:07 pm

They most certainly will. God declared it.
Maybe you don’t realize that (Isa 45:22-23) is a declaration?
4th witness:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Phillipians 2:10)
That's everyone.
Yes they will:
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life FREELY. (Rev 21:6)
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life FREELY. (Rev 22:17)
And just how do you accept that “offer?”
Peace.

Cannot repent.
Cannot drink the water of life.
Cannot chose to accept the gospel.

Accepting the offer of salvation through faith in Jesus.
You quote Phil 2:10, as you say for everyone.
How about those sinners who died unbeliever? Are they included to "everyone"
Cannot repent. (2 Peter 3:9)
Cannot drink the water of life. (John 4:14)
Cannot chose to accept the gospel. (Isaiah 45:22)

Re: Lake of fire
Post #79That’s just not scriptural. I’m guessing you learned that in church.
Show me scripture that tells us salvation is offered.
Of course they are. I’m not sure why the word “everyone” needs to be defined so much on this forum.
They will all have their place in the lake of fire but they will not be annihilated. Destroyed yes, but not annihilated beyond recovery.
And once the lake of fire is done with them they will believe, repent, drink the water of life freely and accept everything God has to offer including the gospel.
Peace.
