Post #1So when I told the JWs at the train station I was debating with JWs online they were quite surprised. What is the status on JWs debating online according to the JW church? What should I tell the train station JWs?

Post #2Tell him you were told each Witness makes their own decisions as to what they do online and that while frequenting online chatrooms have been actively discouraged by the Jehavahs Witness leadership, forum and all online communication has not.
Also point out that other than use of pornography and online dating there is no disciplinary action recommended for use of the internet because many Witnesses use online communication as a way to preach the good news, including online bible lessons, skype communication and publicity articles, digital annoucements and flyers, especially post pandemic.
Finally you might recommend he take the advice in 1 Thessalonians 4 verse 11.

Jehovahs Witnesses are well aware their actions will be judged by the Almighty before whom we will all stand one day and do not need alleged (JW's have been warned not to believe everything we read online without adequate independent proof) stories of unidentified train passengers to be reminded of this fact.Also you might like to point out that Jehovahs Witnesses do not police other members private lives and that each adult Witness has the responsibility to decide what they do and do not do in the privacy of their own homes. I personally am happy to post on such a well monitored forum but have had to learn over the years to post well structured, clear bible based answers and not enter into useless and time wasting debates with people uninterested in learning what we have to say.
