One of the hallmarks of Protestantism is their adherence to the principle of "Sola Scriptura" or the Bible alone.
But the Bible does not spell out the doctrine of the Trinity. At best, it is only implied in the New Testament. So why do Protestants accept the Trinity when that doctrine is not in the Bible? Isn't the Trinity a Catholic doctrine?
Sola Scriptura? Then why do Protestants accept the Trinity?

Post #1 My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

And apparently, YOU don't know your Bible.Eloi wrote: You maybe don't know this passage either:
John 10:31 Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him. 32 Jesus replied to them: “I displayed to YOU many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are YOU stoning me? 33 The Jews answered him: “We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy, even because you, although being a man, make yourself a god. 34 Jesus answered them: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “YOU are gods’? 35 If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified, 36 do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son? 37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me. 38 But if I am doing them, even though YOU do not believe me, believe the works, in order that YOU may come to know and may continue knowing that the Father is in union with me and I am in union with the Father.
Catholic church is known for nulliffying the Scriptures ... somehow they think the Scriptures can be overwritten by the catholic magistery. We don't do that.
This verse is a reference to Psalm 82, which says:
Psalm 82:6-7
I declare: “Gods though you be, offspring of the Most High all of you, Yet like any mortal you shall die; like any prince you shall fall."
The "Gods" being spoken of here is a metaphorical use of the word - NOT a literal one.

I am the one quoting the passage of Jesus words saying that God called gods to men positioned as judges by Himself, and you still don't understand what Jesus meant?
If Jesus quoted those words from the Scriptures to show that, and he said the Scriptures cann't be nullified, are you still trying to contradict Jesus?

HUH??Eloi wrote: I am the one quoting the passage of Jesus words saying that God called gods to men positioned as judges by Himself, and you still don't understand what Jesus meant?

What are you talking about??
I showed you that the verses YOU posted were a reference to Psalm 82, which explicitly states:
Psalm 82:6-7
I declare: “Gods though you be, offspring of the Most High all of you, Yet like any mortal you shall die; like any prince you shall fall."
This is clearly a metaphorical use of the word "Gods" because it is talking about flawed HUMANS.

MS, I know where Jesus was quoting from. That is not the point.
The point is: Jehovah called "gods" to human judges. They were not "false gods", because they were called like that BY GOD HIMSELF. So, why are you derailing the point?
If God called humans as gods, then Jehovah is the God of them and other gods in the Universe. HE is the only true God, the Creator, and the One who deserve our worship. Jesus worships Jehovah, since he is his HIGH PRIEST.

It was a METAPHORICAL use of the word "Gods" - not a literal one. He is talking about HUMANS - not gods.
I understand your frustration . . .

Jesus did not see it metaphorical. Do you really mind what Jesus thinks?

It's from a PSALM. What makes you think that the Psalms are all LITERAL??Eloi wrote: Jesus did not see it metaphorical. Do you really mind what Jesus thinks?

The Psalms are frequently metaphorical.
Look at the following Psalm 104:3-4 that speaks of God:
“…who hast laid the beams of thy chambers on the waters, who makest the clouds thy chariot, who ridest on the wings of the wind, who makest the winds thy messengers, fire and flame thy ministers.
This is ALL metaphorical language.

Jesus didn't see it metaphorical. He knew what he was talking about. You should focus in Jesus words since you want readers to think you are a Christian.

Everybody knows about the Psalms ... open a thread about it if you want to talk about that.

You are repeating yourself like it can cancel Jesus words. Please, respect others posts in this forum ... but most important, respect Jesus words:
John 10:31 Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him. 32 Jesus replied to them: “I displayed to YOU many fine works from the Father.
