Most of us probably know better than to believe everything said or written. If someone tells us they can fly by flapping their arms, our response is likely disbelief and a request that they ‘show me’. If they refuse to demonstrate or fail in flapping, we regard their claim as false. Agreed?
If a person claims to have come back to life after being dead for days none of us are likely to believe the claim unless it could be verified. Right?
If someone writes that fifty years ago a long-dead person came back to life and flew away into the sky, what would be your / our likely reaction? Would we be convinced if they say ‘many saw him’?
What would it take to convince us that the tale was true?

Post #521Is your narrative no leaning on your "bible" (meaning YOUR quotations of what you believe the Lord said)? What is the difference, you can write "the Lord said xxx" but if a Christian says EXACTLY THE SAME introduction you can dismiss it as "worshipping the quotation". What is the difference between your "leaning" and someone quoting Moses or Johns report of what the Lord said? You don't say "Just go to Jesus" you are CONSTANTLY quoting in colour, how are you quotations any different from Christians quoting Moses (just like Jesus quoted Moses)?OneJack wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:44 amWhatever you say, your narrative leans on the bible and draws your readers to it alone. You’re too scared to let go of the bible in lieu/favor of the real and forever living Almighty God, whose name is Jesus Christ, the Savior of all.JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:20 amI refered to tge testimonies of Gods chosen Prophets because they spoke with Almightt Gos ans quoted him verbatum. How is it when God speaks to Moses I can't even mention it without being accused of worshipping scripture but you can quote what God supossedly said to YOU twenty years ago every 5 mins and thats not worshipping the quote. Explain why you can refer to God speaking on a boulevard but I can't even MENTION God speaking at Mount Sinai.
If the focus is on God alone and "not on the scriptures" why are you including quotations and not simply saying "look to God" and leave it at that?

Post #522LEANING TOWARDS THE PARANORMALJehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 8:06 amThat doesn't really help because I have never seen literal writing in the air so I have no idea what that might mean...
- by "writings in the air" does it mean seeing letters suddenly appear without a physical source, amounting to a paranormal apparition?
- By "a cool voice from above" do you mean an audible voice from the spirit realm?
- And are there any other means by which God is currently communicating with with humans?
When people asked Jesus how to seek God, why did he never say to "look for writings in the air" and voices from the spirit world? Why did he keep quoting the scripture of his day. Since he was in the flesh from heaven, why did he insist on quoting from the "bible" (scripture) instead of saying "I'm here you don't need to read anything?"

Post #523Jesus constantly QUOTED Moses and the Prophets, was he too scared to let go of the bible (written scripute)
Do the testimonies of the Apostles that were companions of Jesus in the flesh contain any admonision to "let go of the bible"?
It's fine to read what YOU write God said, but if anyone dare copy out what MOSES wrote God said.... they are told to let it all go?
So if Moses heard from God on Mount Sinai and
You heard from God on a busy Boulevard
and YOU can quote what God said without being accused of worshipping the quotation (idolatry)
why can't I quote what God said without being accused of worshipping the quotation (idolatry)?
Is it not double standard to encourage people to break free from the written words of God as witnessed by Moses, the Prophets and the Apostles that witnessed Jesus (the bible canon) ...., while you continue to point people to the written words of what God said as witnessed by you and your family [/i][/color]

Post #524I post what I've heard from God all the time. Unless by "heard from God" you mean "hear an audible voice from the spirit world or meet a teenager that claims to be God incarnate. Is the paranormal the ONLY way to "hear from God"?

Re: "Take my word for it, or his, or this book"
Post #526So there we have it, you claim that the ONLY way to "hear from God" is audibly hearing a voice from the spirit world. Did Jesus in the flesh claim that as testified by his chosen Apostles? Or is this another of you opinion statements ? Is your claim that the only way to hear from God is the paranormal something your "Jesus" spirit told you (verbatim quotation please) or just your guess (irrelevant).
