Christians should work toward separation of church and state because they are soon to be a minority religion -- out paced by Islam worldwide. If churches are allowed to use state powers to enforce their theology, prayer mats could become mandatory and Christians exiled.
So, while Christians still have some political clout they would be well advised to solidify separation of church and state.
As an alternative, Christians could busy themselves reproducing and recruiting to compete numerically with Muslims, who are projected to outnumber Christians in the near future.

I stand with the Constitution and the Founding Fathers in supporting separation of church and state. I do not accept ANY injection of religious beliefs into the nation's laws.
I correctly note that it is in the best interest of Christians to adopt / accept / support the separation and the rejection of religious laws -- particularly in light of their declining influence and the rise of Islam worldwide.
That position may appear as heresy to some Christians -- but it would / will be difficult to warp it into 'hypocrisy'.
No I do not. Spell it out if you think otherwise -- be specific.Wootah wrote: As a reader do you see the hypocrisy in your post (s)?

Sure I'll spell it out.
When we talk about separation of C&S we are specifically talking about not allowing C to make laws.
And yet you have no issue asking for more laws yourself. So whatever belief system you hold is allowed to make laws but C's are not.
I believe in separation of C&S.
That C should not make laws.
But the beliefs I hold should be laws. (I quoted you.)
That's hypocrisy.
Can I also say that believing in separation of C&S, is a metaphysical concept.
Finally are you worried about Muslims or not?

Post #14We already are. Why are you making these ignorant, uninformed statements?Zzyzx wrote:Christians should work toward separation of church and state
Over the next four decades, Christians will remain the largest religious group.Zzyzx wrote:because they are soon to be a minority religion -- out paced by Islam worldwide.

In the likely event that you don't know, a decade=10 years, so 4 decades=40 years. How does that compare with your false claim that Christians are soon to be a minority religion?
Why are you making these ignorant, uninformed statements?
Your opinion is worthless though, and has been proven to be ignorant and uninformed.Zzyzx wrote:If churches are allowed to use state powers to enforce their theology, prayer mats could become mandatory and Christians exiled.

Wrong.Zzyzx wrote:As an alternative, Christians could busy themselves reproducing and recruiting to compete numerically with Muslims, who are projected to outnumber Christians in the near future.
By 2050 the number of Muslims will nearly equal the number of Christians around the world.

Next time you want to make a thread, do some basic research ok? Btw, I can't wait to see your passive aggressive response!

My response it to simply report the post as uncivil and condescending.WinePusher wrote: In the likely event that you don't know, a decade=10 years,

This condescension and sarcasm goes way beyond civil debate and into the realm of personal animosity. Please refrain and mend your ways. You've been here long enough, so..
