Can one still be considered Christian if one chooses not to celebrate Christmas?
Opinions welcome.

Yes, of course.
One can be a Christian if one chooses to celebrate Christmas or if one chooses not to celebrate Christmas. Celebrating Christmas (or not) is not what makes someone a Christian. So it is a personal choice, imo, and one that is between the person and their master. And frankly, it is none of my business.
Peace to you,

I agree - I believe Christ is displeased with Christmas and it would violate my conscience to participate in such so-called "christian" celebrations, but I don't think my position makes me "less Christian" than others.

Jesus, send from Heaven as Jehovah's Witnesses believe?
Post #4I think most Christians believe Jesus was a good man, but how many believe Jesus was actually sent from heaven by God to save mankind? Do most Christians believe he was "made the messiah" and "resurrected" by his disappointed disciples? Is this a common view amongst non-church attending Christians?

You and I are of a minority opinion among Christians that Jesus was not God, and in fact is subordinate to the Father.
Most non-Church attending Christians? I can't really say. Many in the historical Jesus movement make a distinction between the "Jesus-of-history" (pre-Easter) and the "Christ-of-Faith" (post-Easter).
The Jesus of history was entirely human, the "Christ of Faith? Various opinions on what that actually means, and how literal was the resurrection. Some historical Jesus adherants see Jesus incorporated into the very being of the Father with his resurrecto
My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

It's that time of year again, this year's question: Is Christmas for Christians?

What exactly do you mean by Christmas? It means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

I mean in your opinion is the celebration of Christ's birthday on the 25th of December by observing various customs such as holding a special church service in honor of his birthday, to the exchanging of presents on that particular day, to the decorating of homes in certain ways and special meals in honor of Jesus appropriate for someone that claims to be a follower of Christ.
regards,
JW

I do think those are all (generally speaking) appropriate for followers of Christ.

I believe that celebrating christmas is incompatible with christianity, which is why I personally don't celebrate it.
