.
If a person claims medical knowledge and cures but his/her results cannot be shown to be truthful and accurate, how are they regarded? What are they called?
They are regarded as phonies, fakes and scam artists. They are called quacks.
If a person claims religious knowledge and cures but his/her results cannot be shown to be truthful and accurate, how are they regarded? What are they called?
They are highly regarded by followers and are called priests, preachers, prophets.

Is this an example of double standard?
