A true Christian is seemingly impossible to find. However I believe there is an analogy in this riddle. If one answer can be deduced a true Christian would have that answer.
Which of these statements are true?
1. Exactly one of these statements is false
2. Exactly two of these statements are false
This riddle is how interpretation of the bible works in a nutshell. If you can answer it, you have demonstrated how to successfully interpret the bible.
A riddle that can determine a true Christian.

Well... you could choose statement 2 to be true, and thus 1 and 3 would be false. This would allow statement 2 to be true. But you literally will that statement 2 be true in order for this to work. You force it to work rather than examining the statements for what they are.
When I look at it deeper, it seems like none of the statements logically provide enough information to be false or true. There is no such thing as false or true for these statements. So the fact that they make a claim that they can be false is false in itself, so they're all actually false, so then I choose 3.
Statement 3 is a false statement. But it represents the truth in that all three statements are false in their logic of assuming they can assert what statements are false.
I confused myself

Moderator Comment
Interesting brain teaser, but doesn't belong on the debate board. If you want to make a point about inconsistent statements, then make it explicit with a new thread.

This doesn't determine a Christian, lol... and jgh has confused me because I see only two statements... but from those two statements, the first one is the only one that can be true, because the second one has to be false, or it names itself as false, and is therefore not true.
Peace!

Aww man, it was more fun with three statements. Oh well. My reasoning still confusingly leads me to believe that statement 2 actually is more truthful than statement 1. I just feel that both statements are false because they make the claim that they're able to be true or false. These statements don't have enough substance to claim to be either true or false. So by claiming to be true or false is actually false for both of them. Therefore, they're both false, so statement 2 is true.
Haha, I win!

The set of statements is meaningless. They refer to nothing but their own truth values. It does not matter which statement one arbitrarily assigns 'true' or 'false' to, there are no consequences.help3434 wrote: 1. This statement below is true
