Survey

Post by SurveyGuy »

Hi, I am not religious, but I enjoy debating with Christian friends. The last debate I had raised questions to do with how many Christians believe what. Especially with the most difficult questions, it seems that Christians have a fairly divided view: problems like who wrote the bible, how literally should the old testament be taken, and in what sense exactly is God good.

As a result, I wanted to survey as many Christians as possible and then make the results public.

I have written the survey as a google forms survey. However, it is surprisingly hard to make a good survey, and it's not always in a forum's interests to allow external links.

So instead, it might be good to have a series of interviews in which I ask the questions. That way I can see how many people start the survey, how many misunderstand questions, or don't feel that the questions force them into saying something not right.

So, any volunteers? If people want the survey link, I can also provide that.

I'll be willing to take your survey and also comment on what I think of your questions.

However, just as a heads-up, you should have posted this in "General Chat". You might want to ask a mod to move it there. Christianity and Apologetics is reserved for actual debate topics on Christianity and Apologetics.

Yes, it sounds like a good idea to move it to General Chat. How do I ask a Mod to do that?

I can't PM at the moment --- not enough posts.

Can I post the link here? A different forum I tried this on was worried about bait and switch, so they weren't happy about that.

Cool. Ok. It's at

http://goo.gl/forms/aGhxVSG7Li

I want to warn people that it is full of questions like "Do you think god has killed people as described in the old testament", so if you wouldn't finish a survey that had questions in it like that, you might want to consider not doing it.

But I would be grateful for feedback or people trying it.

SurveyGuy.

Hmm, only one person from this website finished the survey. Unfortunately, I can't see whether people are looking at the survey but not finishing it, or whether they aren't looking at the survey anyway.

Hmm, only one person from here did the survey. I can't tell if it's because nobody's trying the survey or whether it's because they're not finishing the survey. Feedback would be great.

I tried to take the survey but I couldn't complete it because there are some questions in problem 3 I don't know the answer to and "I don't know" wasn't among the possible responses.
