If you say God created the heavens and the Earth, I can make no logical arguement against that belief.
However the Bible is not a Medical text/aPhysics text/a Chemistry text, etc.
The Creation story is the distillation of Jewish oral tradition, not an accurate account of the science involved, the same for the Flood myth, Sodom and Gamorra, Moses and the parting of the Red Sea(though this may be an actual description of a phenomina of the REED Sea), and on and on.
What science has found out about the real world IS NOT A CONSPIRACY TO GET RID OF GOD. It is truth to the best of the ability of the scientists involved. Yes, it is subject to revision, given new/better evidence, but the revisions almost always "tweak" the theories closer to absolute accuracy rather than falsification of the research that has gone before. So the world view science has given us can be accepted as being an accurate view of the world.
The Bible says we can know God by looking at his works, science has done just that in great detail. Unless you think God is a practical joker and a liar, then what we see is the way God would make it!!!

It is not a logical fallacy to say that both the Bible and science are relivant, they just deal with two different realms. The Bible is relivant for the philosophy of a devine. Science is relivant for the study of nature.Clarification: Science has limitations. And those limitations are exposed when trying to explain our being. God is beyond science. Sure, when it comes to my computer and electricity science is relevant.

Awesome. I concur with a lot of what you say but with a few differences of opinion. For example, the bible doesn't have to due with "a Philosophy".. it deals with Truth. Other points: I don't think science is a conspiracy to get rid of God. In the whole scheme of this thing though, the Word of God supersedes all. The bible knows how the world was created. Science is still working on that focusing on the effect.. not the cause. Finally, I don't think the current state of the world is how God plans for it to always be.

That is your opinion. I would not try to change that, but it is not a scientific fact. For example, the bible doesn't have to due with "a Philosophy".. it deals with Truth.
Only on those subjects the Bible deals with could this be true. Those subjects do not include Cosmology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Medicine, etc. etc.In the whole scheme of this thing though, the Word of God supersedes all.
The only valid information on this subject contained in the Bible is the statement that God created the Heavens and the Earth, the rest is Jewish oral legends, having absolutely no scientific value. The bible knows how the world was created.
Physical causes are all science can address. If you believe God was the cause I have no arguement with that.Science is still working on that focusing on the effect.. not the cause. Finally, I don't think the current state of the world is how God plans for it to always be.

Thanks man! I guess we have nothing to debate. Ha haa. Take care.
