Agnostic Universalism

Agnostic Universalism

Agnostic, this philosophy claims that it is impossible to know the Mind of God without being one with the Mind of God, without being God. The only possible way to know the Mind of God is by mystic identity. This is not the same as gnostic revelation. It is not access to individual truths or part of the truth, but instead is the identity with the One, entire.

Universalist, this philosophy avers that beings that are or were conscious participate in the Godhead -- I AM -- equally. If even one human can achieve enlightenment by mystic identity, all can. If even one human is "saved" (consciousness preserved intact in an afterlife) all are saved.

Agnostic Universalists understand that morality is a human concern and no concern of the ultimately forgiving Deity (if any). God doesn't care who you diddle, people do. God doesn't care who you hurt to survive, people do. God doesn't care what ritual you practice nor whom you worship, you are treated the same as everyone else.

My family (except for stepdad) have added Universalism to their core belief system. They all buy into my gnostic revelation to a degree that I, myself, do not. My sister is Roman Catholic Universalist (based in part on 1 John 2:2). My other sister is Orthodox Jewish Universalist. My nieces are both Roman Catholic Universalists as well. My daughter is Native American Wheel of Life Universalists.

I guess the debate topic would be: Agnostic Universalism is the only philosophical belief that makes sense to the thinking person.
