If you would like to debate in a head-to-head debate, find an opponent and agree on a topic. Then both of you must post here with the topic title you two have agreed on and then send me a PM with the link to your request. You two should also agree beforehand the format of the debate. I'll then give you both membership to the usergroup. You are then free to create the topic and debate.
After the debate is over, PM me and I'll lock the thread and remove you from the usergroup.

Hello,
Nickman and I have agreed do debate my thery of Genesis 1, the Big Bang, and which is the best theory overall.
1) WHICH of the 2 have been most tested?
2) Which of the 2 fared better in their respective tests?
3) Which is the BEST overal theory?
THIS is the debate.
The Rules:
1) Peer-reviewed sources only.
2) Theological sources old and new can be used, recognizing that just as in science, theologians disagree.
3) No empty, unsupported claims may be made; back up all positive statements with evidence.
4) Direct questions MUST be answered in an intelligent way, with supporting evidence, or a simple "I dont know" will work.
5) Misrepresenting another debater is a disqualifying factor. Ask questions if you are unsure about what they are saying.
6) Posts will be of a reasonable length allowing room however to properly address subjects at hand.
Many thank yous

I have one consideration. Peer-reviewed materials must be able to be shown that they were peer-reviewed and that the peer-review reached a consensus in favor of the material. If not then those so called "peer-reviewed" materials will be considered as conjecture.Wolfbitn wrote: Hello,

Also, we will have two moderators, as you have asked for, 1 who is nonreligious and 1 who is religious. There will also be a side thread for commentary on the debate. No polls will be taken on the side thread. This will alleviate the biased poll problem. The objective of the debate will be for all members, and nonmembers to decide which argument is most probable.

It is best if you both agree on the precise wording of the proposition, to be included in the OP of a head to head before you begin. You are close but not quite there yet. Are you debating the one question listed by Nickman or the three listed by Wolfbitn? Are you arguing from the text of Genesis 1 or about Wolfbitn's interpretation of Genesis 1?Nickman wrote:Wolfbitn and I have decided to debate on: Is Genesis 1 More Accurate than Big Bang Cosmology?
You should also decide who goes first.
Please note that all of the moderators are available to enforce the forum rules in head-to-head debate. However, you may request moderation specific to the the agreed upon rules for your head to head debate which should be enumerated in the OP. They should be chosen and agree before you start, so that you may name them in the OP. I volunteer to be one of them.Nickman wrote: Also, we will have two moderators, as you have asked for, 1 who is nonreligious and 1 who is religious. aaand the precise wording of what we are debating is in the first post
I am posting the opening post, and there is no limit to the number of posts in the debate.
Also If nik were to quit the debate I leave open my choice to replace him with another debater.
