DC&R Usergroups

Changing and/or joining usergroups can be found here:
http://www.debatex.com/forum/groupcp.php
http://www.debatingchristianity.com/forum/groupcp.php

Joining a usergroup can determine what forums you are allowed to post in. For example, Christians & other theists can post to the Holy Huddle Room. Non-theists and unlabeleds can't.

It's those little designations underneath your name, avatar, and other vitals. Mine says "Agnostic". I'm just curious, if you haven't chosen to label yourself, why not?

The poll is completely anonymous, so even if you don't respond in the thread, please cast your opinion in the poll.

If I joined a group does that mean commitment?

Well, someone might haul you off to an institution to be committed, but that's really a separate issue. :D

No, really. There's no dues or other requirements to participate any more than if you went around unlabeled. It's just part of your public face.

I did Join the Jewish and Agnostics. So I figure if I get committed I will have good company. Where are the other members? Did they haul them off already? i was thinking of contributing but I should balance my check book first.

I much prefer it when people choose a usergroup. This makes debating much easier, as you can better understand where their argument is comming from. Some people detest labeling, but I find it has it's uses.

Buddhist most closely describes my religion. Is it possible to add that to the Usergroups?

It's my understanding that many people view an agnostic as someone who requires tangible proof of a divine force (or god). I'm hesitant to use that particular label because I suspect that if god manifests his/herself as a spirit, it's something that must be experienced personally rather than proven to others.

I may end up using it anyway simply because it's the closest one.

Or what about having a usergroup of "Undecided" for those of us who are exploring theistic religions but haven't picked one?
