Entire lesson plan: assumes that the student already believes that the Bible is true. There is no attempt to validate that the Bible should be taken as true.
There, I have saved you all twenty minutes of your life.
- Our Eternal Salvation - Lesson learned: The Bible claims that everyone will be lost or saved for eternity.
- God's Warning - Lesson learned: The Bible claims that God does not want anyone to be lost, but many will chose eternal torment by ignoring God's truth.
- Eternity - The Bible teaches that all people will be placed into one of two places in eternity. Heaven or Hell.
- Our Sin Problem - The Bible teaches that all have sinned, that sin separates people from God and redefines death (second death) as eternal separation from God.
- The Nature Of God - The Bible teaches that the vengeful and loving God will punish eternally everyone who dies in his sin. God gave His Son to die for our sins.
- Christ Paid Our Penalty - Christ died for sinners like you and me and He is the only way to God.
- The Grace Of God - Salvation cannot be earned.
- Lets Get Personal! - No lesson
- Doing God's Will - You must do the will of God to be saved.
- Believing In God And Christ - You must believe in God and Christ to be saved.
- Repentance - You must repent of sins to be saved.
- Confessing Christ - You must publicly confess that you believe before you can be saved.
- Must We Be Baptized To Be Saved? - This is where the church of Christ denomination varies from many Christian denominations. If you wish to see the well-worn Biblical rationale that baptism is a requirement for salvation as taught by the church of Christ denomination, this is it.
- Must We Be Baptized For Remission Of Our Sins? - More of the same. More Biblical verses to support the church of Christ denomination's particular view on baptism.
- The Cleansing Blood Of Christ - Our sins are washed away when we come into contact with the cleansing blood of Christ. We come into contact with the saving blood of Christ when we are baptized into His death.
- Becoming A Child Of God - We are baptized in order to be a child of God.
- Baptized Into Christ - Baptism is the only way into Christ. Lots more Bible verses cited to support this view.
- Obedience To The Gospel - We obey the gospel which is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ when we are baptized. Any other gospel is a perverted gospel.
- Baptism Is Immersion - A lesson on why the greek word translated baptism means immersion not sprinkling. The distinction is apparently quite important to God.
- Infants Are Not Lost - You don't need to baptise children because we do not become sinners until we become accountable. Does not address how to determine when that happens nor the ethical problems with this doctrine.
- Man Is Not To Change What God Says - Standard stuff except that they had to link it to their favourite theme, baptism.
- The Lord's Church (Part A) - There is only one church.
- The Lord's Church (Part B) - Denominations are not that one church.
- The Lord's Church (Part C) - Religious names other than the name of this denomination, "the church of Christ" are sinful because there is no Biblical justification. Attempt to construct complete church organization from only the Bible.
- Summary
- Only those who are saved in accordance with the will of God will go to Heaven and live eternally. The lost will be punished forever and ever in the burning fires of Hell.
- Many people are falsely taught that all they have to do is accept Christ as their personal saviour and they are saved at that moment. Where does it say this in the Bible? It is not there.
- Did you think you were saved and your sins were forgiven the moment you accepted Christ as your personal saviour? This is a false doctrine that man has come up with. This is foreign to the Bible. It may sound good but it is still false. If you thought you were saved this way you are still lost.
- There are many conflicting doctrines taught today in the religious world concerning baptism. Satan is the author of all of the conflicting doctrines. The only correct doctrine is the one taught in the Bible.
- As a small child you were not accountable, had no sin, and were not lost. The idea that small children are lost and need to be baptized was invented by man and not God. Because of this if you were baptized as an small child, when you became accountable your are now lost. Please do not wait until Judgment Day to find this out.
- Only those who are capable of believing are fit subjects for baptism. We must be able to believe before we can be baptised.
- Sprinkling is not baptism. Our English word baptism comes from the Greek word baptizo which only means to immerse. Sprinkling is an invention of man and is not accepted by God. If you were sprinkled you are still lost. Please do not wait until Judgment Day to find this out.
- Baptism is only immersion. Our word baptism is translated from the Greek word baptizo which only means to immerse.
- There is an urgency to baptism. Until one is baptized he is still lost.
- The Bible says we are saved after we are baptized (Mark 16:16) and that our sins are forgiven after we are baptized (Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16). Many denominations falsely teach that you are saved and your sins are forgiven before baptism. They say that baptism is not necessary for salvation. If you thought you were saved before your baptism then your baptism was not to save you nor was your baptism for the forgiveness of your sins. You are still lost and you still have every sin you have ever committed. You can still be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins so you can be saved.
- Only if we have been baptized into Christ do we have all spiritual blessings such as: salvation and forgiveness of sins so we can go to Heaven.
- We should only glorify Christ by wearing only the name Christian. When people wear other names they take glory that only belongs to Christ and give the glory to other people and things. Why are you not wearing only the name Christian?
There, I have saved you all twenty minutes of your life.
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

I think that is why I said it was a Christian view. I didn't say, how to get to heaven, the Atheist view. This is purly for those that would like to understand how you can get to heaven as a Christian.McCulloch wrote:Entire lesson plan: assumes that the student already believes that the Bible is true. So what?
The bible is for believers and followers of God not those who don't desire God.
The Bible validates itself, if one has a heart that loves the truth and is willing to openly search it out and see if it be true or false.
Easy, very easy.... no need to worry about anyone that don't believe, irrelevant.
