I donated all of my tokens to two of my favorite debaters, Divine Insight and Mithrae.
Reasons for leaving:
1. I wanted a debate site where the 'rational' aspect of debate is encouraged and ENFORCED but this has not been that place in terms of enforcement. The enforcement is lacking, or at least lacking when I report and complain about it, when little to nothing is done to address repeated unsupported claims and repeated dishonesty (where it can be proven).
2. One response from Otseng (the owner of forum site) to my complaints about the issue in reason #1 or (this thread and here) involved threatening me or suggesting that I be banned. I would have no problems with being banned if everyone that engaged in dishonest/unsupported debate claims/tactics were also threatened with banishment. That has not been done so I feel like I was singled out.
I have stood in wait for over a month for a follow up response from the administrator and moderators and have gotten no response. Maybe another member can get them to shape up this place beyond just being about "civility".
