Strippers

Strippers take advantage of desperate people (men in most cases).
This is how I view strippers and the people that pay them money to get naked.

Is there anything morally right about this? Is there anything morally wrong about this?

lets put it this way: If you'd be happy to hear that your daughter is choosing this as a career path, then you most likely don't think this is morally wrong. If part of you is absolutely disgusted or horrified upon hearing this come out of your daughter's mouth, then you most likely think something is morally wrong about it. I would happen to be the latter.

in christianity, both the stripper and the man watching the stripper are sinful for adultery (showing private parts to another man other than your husband and seeing another's private part other then your wife's). very simple.

but if you ask human's point of view, you'll get a lot of variation and the justifications they try to introduce to their point of view.
In point of fact I think it is only sin if you lust after someone who is not your spouse. This can be done just as well with clothing as without; believe me, I am an expert. If you look at someone naked and don't lust after them, no sin has taken place.

I don't see much wrong with a man going to a strip joint and admitting he did. I see a whole lot wrong with the man who preaches against it and then sneaks in after dark.

My wife's sister was a stripper. She earned about $2000 a week and I guess some guys thought she looked good; I didn't think so. She eventually ended up getting raped at a party and I haven't heard anything from her the last 5 years or so. The last I heard she had some children; I wondered how she would feel if her daughter grew up to be a stripper.
well, because I'm a normal guy, it's quite impossible for me to go to a strip club without lusting after the strippers. well, unless if the stripper is really really ugly. just kidding.
as for going to strip club without getting aroused, well, maybe you won't be sinful in adultery, but what's the motivation when going to the strip club. you'll be sinful for whatever ungodly motivation you have in your heart when going to the strip club.

What if I was working under cover as a police officer and had infiltrated the mafia to catch a serial killer and the whole group went to a strip joint? Yes, I would lust after the naked women, I'm a man. Would I go to hell for it if I asked for forgiveness afterward? What if I died before getting the chance to ask forgiveness?

if you already know you'd lust even when doing something "good", it's still a sin. so yes, if you get your head shot (instant death) while lusting, you're doomed. If you know you may be weak with naked women, go have sex with your wife before the "undercover" (wow, sounds really intense). if it's been channeled, you won't lust to a naked woman anymore, no matter how good looking she may be. that's how you control yourself. that worked for me. back then when I was still a wild child, I'd have sex three times a day with my girlfriend. each intercourse would last an hour. after that, I don't feel any lust even if I go to strip club.

Your English is really pretty good for South East Asia. It appears as though you believe a person can only go to heaven by being good enough. Is that true?

thanks, it's just my clients are mostly westerners, so I'm forced to be able to speak english. A person may enter heaven when his character is Jesus like and most importantly, when he believes in Jesus as God and Savior so that he may have access to His blood to wash away any sins, because you know there isn't a single human who's perfect (without sin). so both faith and works. not either one, but both.

I do not have a daughter but if she was a stripper I would worry for her. But I'd also worry for her if she was a cop or working bars or drove a lot for her living. My worries would be practical not moral.

If my daughter could have been a doctor but chooses stripping that would make me sad because I think being a doctor is better than being a stripper. If my daughter used stripping to pay her way through college to become a doctor I'd have to applaud her independence and being bright enough to find a way of staying out of debt.
