A lot of Christians don't realize that Muslims worship the same god as they do.
Question for Debate: Why? Is there a Islamic belief that causes this?

Totally disagree. (of course what did you expect) The God of Abraham does not morph into what someone genuinely believes He is. The God of Abraham is who He is. Does not matter how genuine people are. People can be and are genuinely wrong about Him and His will. There can never be two versions of the God of Abraham, never ever.mormon boy51 wrote:I wouldnt say they are exactly the same, but each religion claims to worship the Abrahamic god. Which one is correct? We might believe we know but we could die and discover we were incorrect. So the abrahamic god you worship is different than someone elses view of the abrahamic god. So which person worships the abrahamic god? I would say that it is the person who believes he is worshiping the abrahamic god.Adstar wrote: I am not surprised that a mormon would state that the god of islam was the same as the God of Christianity.

In science, when there is a disagreement about the attributes of some entity, an objective experiment can be devised to directly test that entity for that attribute. In theology, when there is a disagreement about the attributes of the deity, the only recourse is to ancient authoritative texts and to logic and reason. However, it seems to me that logic and reason take a secondary role to revelation. When various theists disagree about which texts are holy, to what can they appeal? There can never be two contradictory versions of the God of Abraham, both true. At most, only one can be true. However, we cannot dismiss the possibility that both views are false.
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

He will not morph from what he is. Yet, who is right about what he is?Adstar wrote:Totally disagree. I agreeThe God of Abraham is who He is. Does not matter how genuine people are.
People can be genuinely wrong, but who is right? There can be only one true version but which one is it? Each person believes he is following the right version. You think that you are correct, I think I am, and a Muslim believes that he is correct.People can be and are genuinely wrong about Him and His will. There can never be two versions of the God of Abraham, never ever.

To me, it is always a sign that someone is not confident in the persuasiveness of their arguments when they have to buttress them with supernatural threats.Adstar, quoting the Epistle to the Galatians wrote: But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Everyone is saying who is right who is wrong. But the system of God is perfect for delivering those who are right with God.
Let every person follow what they see as right. In the end if they embraced a lie they will be condemned and if they embrace the truth then they will be made justified. The system is perfect. The Word God sent out will achieve His purpose.
Now everyone who believes that a God exists must be very intent on finding out the true Will of God. They cannot rely on their parents or their community being right on this question of ultimate personal importance.

And I agree, let all men worship how where, or what they may. If you truly believe in a god you will search out the correct answer. However, we need to remember that not everyone comes to the exact same conclusion.Adstar wrote:Well i will go back down into some basic wisdom for you mormon boy51.mormon boy51 wrote:He will not morph from what he is. Of cource they don't. Some people reject the True Message, pass it by and then embrace a lie. These are destined to the eternal lake of fire.mormon boy51 wrote:And I agree, let all men worship how where, or what they may. If you truly believe in a god you will search out the correct answer.
