It could be said that just by interacting with you, as responding to your question and replying, that in itself is proof of your existence.
If you did not exist, then I would not have taken notice of you.
By taking notice of you I have acknowledged your existence. If that is true, then it would also be true that by replying to you, and by your acknowledgement of my reply, therefore I exist.

I have a feeling that he is looking for a deeper meaning. At least judging from his past posts. Though your reasoning is exactly what I was thinking as well.

But I absolutely did not mind responding to this post, the subjectmatter is intriguing even at it's most basic sense. The originator of this thread may have had a deeper meaning in mind when creating this thread, and it would be interesting to me to see if that were true.

Yes, and the proof is one anyone can do. Not only does it prove that "self" exists, it also proves that "wall" exists. Here is the procedure:can you prove it?
1) Identify a "wall" in your vicinity.
2) Stand upright facing the "wall" with your feet about 6 inches from the "wall".
3) Clasp hand behind your back.
4) Thrust your face violently forward.
5) Repeat until you are certain that "self" exists.
Anyone who claims this proof isn't effective is lying.

It would seem to be that the opposite is happening. God is often used when people are trying to understand something that we do not yet know enough about. As we learn more and more, God seems to get pushed further and further out of the picture.
Anyways, are you trying to say that it would make no difference whether or not there was a God? Though I cannot apply this to the aspect of our existence, because it certainly does matter if we exist or not. If we didn't exist how could we even begin to ponder about our existence.
If you specify what you're getting at I could respond more thoroughly.

Moorean realism. I love it. Unfortunately it doesn't answer the skeptics claims. For example, amputees often experience phantom pains in the body part that has been amputated. The pain is not actually there, but it is real.
