So, what's everybodies favorite Shakespeare play???
For me, I'd say Macbeth and/or Julius Caesar. All my teachers and professors say that Hamlet's their favorite, but I really despise Hamlet. It was way to long to make any sense.

When my wife and I decided to cease being nomadic after many years of exploration and travel all over the US, we decided to "settle down" in eastern Texas or western Arkansas. A few years ago we purchased some very nice rural acreage north of Longview, Texas (100 miles east of Dallas toward Shreveport, Louisiana). That part of Texas is beautiful, rolling, forested country with abundant rivers and lakes. Small towns abound and rural highways are excellent.
Then, we started exploring the Ozark and Ouichita "mountain" areas of Arkansas, sold the Texas property, and recently purchased land at the foot of a mountain in the Ozark region at the edge of the Arkansas River Valley. We REALLY like the people here (in spite of their characteristic religious bent) and the small towns. The topography, climate and vegetation are similar to East Texas.
I would say that you can find nearly anything you are looking for in Texas.
A wise man, when asked by newcomers, "What are the people like around here?" would answer with, "What were people like where you came from?" -- and regardless what the reply, would respond with, "That is exactly what you will find in the people around here." The key phrase is, of course, "what you will find."
Texas is VERY diverse in climate, topography and culture. I personally dislike cities and prefer rural areas and rural people, so I will not comment on cities or their inhabitants.Lucia wrote:I must admit I'm a tad biased against TX.
