I'm new, so I'm introducing myself

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to debating (Internet or otherwise). I know a little about logic, but not very much.

I'm 19 years old. I just graduated high school. Ballet occupies much of my time, and this fall I'm going to be taking courses full time at a community college. My free time is devoted to studying theology and Latin. I'm a beginner in both. I'm a Christian. Theologically I'm Catholic. I was raised Protestant. I haven't become started the conversion process yet due to issues with parents and other logistical issues.

I'm looking forward to talking/debating with all of you. O:)

Welcome. If you don't mind having your beliefs challenged, this is the place to be!

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Welcome to the forum. I would suggest you jump in and remember not to take challenges personally. Take them as an opportunity to grow in knowledge and you will find much enrichment.... See you around.
What we do for ourselves dies with us,
What we do for others and the world remains
and is immortal.

-Albert Pine

Never allow yourself to be made a victim.
Accept no one persons definition of your life; define yourself.
