Are we living in the last days, spoken about in the Bible?

This part of the forum seems quiet. So I hope some might be interested in this.
I would like to have this discussed , in a rather broad way. What I mean it can encompass many bible subjects.
But mostly around Daniel , and Revelation or anything that concerns people today.
Does the bible talk about governments of our time period?

So I hope some might be interested in this.

From Daniels interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
Egypt
Assyria
Babylonian Empire.
Medo-Persia
The Grecian Empire
Roman Empire
Anglo-American
God's government

I was wondering what anyone thought of this?

II Timothy 3.1-9 wrote:Godlessness in the Last Days
1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self–control, brutal, not lovers of the good,4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God–5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak–willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth–men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
certainly sounds like now, doesn't it? but then, paul, who knew more about jesus than anyone i've ever met thought that he would see the second coming in his lifetime.
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,
2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3While people are saying, “Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
we cannot know when he is coming. we are called to be vigilant always. actually, i needed this little reminder. thanks!

Mathew 4:17 From that time on Jesus commenced preaching and saying: “Repent, YOU people, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.

You could ask in what way had the Kingdom drawn near? In that the one anointed to be King, Jesus Christ himself, was now present, “teaching . . . and preaching the good news of the kingdom. If you recall the Lords prayer where it says, God's Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Well we sure don't see that yet. So it hasn't come. But the bible gives us many signs, when the time is near.
One of those this in this scripture.
Rev 11:18 But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.

Besides there is also the meaning of the different materials that made up this image. They also have meanings to them, which also give an idea about who each of the world powers are.
Then also later in Daniel has the visions of the 4 beasts, which also confirms the line of governments, down to our day, and including the UN. In great detail.
The bible also tells us what will trigger the start of Armageddon, the bible say he will put it into the minds of the governments of the world, to turn on religion. To stamp them out. It will be a scary time. But also at this time God will step in andpeople will know it is from God. There will be no doubt.

actually, i can't remember where i read that. it was extra-biblical, but i don't know who said it. i know it's a commonly held belief- and i've heard it in sermons, but i just can't recall where it originated.

apologies...

Yes this scripture I found at Mathew is the closest that I found.
Mathew 4:17 From that time on Jesus commenced preaching and saying: “Repent, YOU people, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.
Jesus was the first person ever resurrected, and he was also the start of the kingdom that was being established in heaven. That is why in Mathew, it says the kingdom of heavens has drawn near. The actually second coming of Christ was a long way off from that time.( when Jesus was on the earth.)
