There are many people who have made posts on this forum that make me happy, they are well written, they get to the point and they address the topic. We are able to report bad posts but what would be really good would be if we had a button that allowed us to thank someone for such excellent displays of debating.

This would cut down on posts in the forum topic that go against the rules. I know that we can PM people but there are a few reasons I do not do this.
1. I am quite lazy
2. Most the time I just wanna say that was a good post and PM'ing them just to say #23808214 That was a good point... sounds... silly.

:D

What do you guys think?

I just naturally assume everyone applauds my posts, but I will second your notion. There are some good points made, and it would be cool if we could give them the applause they deserve.

A while ago in "comments and suggestions", I posted the idea for a "post rating" option. If you agree with the idea, maybe you could post in the thread and remind otseng he was going to try again to install it (if it's available to retry).
*Disclaimer - I do not believe God exists. I assert that if God existed certain things would be true, and I assume for the sake of discussion that God exists. All of my arguments are directed only at claims made about specific God concepts.

I favor the idea of an applaud button that produces a visual for readers. It should take no more than a "click" to commend or compliment a post.

I had tried to install the post rating mod before, but it had too many problems. It has also been abandoned, so there's also no luck in getting support for it.

Many forums have a rep system for this kind of thing, wherein you can give a person points, or take points away, based on the quality of their post.
