I'm a newb...

Post by Karina »

So i guess it's about time i introduce myself. I've been lurking around this forum for quite some time now and never had the gall to actually post something.

Well, my name is Karina. I'm from Philadelphia (U.S) though i am originally from Ukraine. I'm an atheist, have been one since i was about 16. I found out about this forum from C-Nub, i'm sure he already has a reputation here. It seems to follow him where ever he ventures.

I really look forward to being here, definitely hoping i'll learn something!

I recruited!

This is Karina, or K if you're... well.... probably just me... But she's a pretty good friend of mine and I think, if she promises not to bite anyone, she'll fit in here really well.

She'll be respectful. Probably. Maybe... Yeah... THAT I might pray for. ^_^

Hi Karina! Welcome. Glad to have you with us.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Welcome to the forum Karina. Yes, C-Nub started out with a punch, lol.

I look forward to seeing your contributions here. It is always nice to see fresh insights and different perspectives.
