Just saying Hi!

Post by Andrii »

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum so I'd just thought I'd say hi :)
I'm not going to give away my personal details (address, etc. etc.) because I don't think it's relevant and let's be honest... it's also a bit silly !! All I will say in this respect is that I am a 16 year old student :)
I will give you an outline of my beliefs etc. because this is a religion forum :)

Well to sum it up I don't really follow any particular religion at the moment... I guess I'm still searching for that 'right' path (well, the right path for me anyway since I doubt that anyone can truly say the right path for them is also right for someone else!). I am a very open minded person and I am always happy to hear other people's opinion's on a topic! Don't let that fool you though.... I enjoy a good debate and just because I haven't chosen a particular religion it doesn't mean that I haven't got my own opinions/beliefs that I will try to put across! I also have my own values and morals so please do not imagine a drunk, promiscuous young student with a complete disregard for decency and respect!

I am hoping that by participating in these debates I will discover a bit more about myself & what I really believe in.

Enough said for now and thank you all in advance :)
Feel free to ask me anything if you wish...

Hi Andrii! Welcome. You'll come across all different types of people with varying opinions here. Don't be shy. Get in there and start debating. :)

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Welcome Andrii!

OK, I'll ask a question. How did you find the forum?

Hiya!( and thank you!:D)

Well, although I never heard about it before today, I just thought I'd type something along the lines of "religion forums" into Google (well... I think that's what I've typed in!). I got a long list of sites and thought I'd try this one among many others. I ended up really enjoying the debates posted on here and getting really caught up in them. I enjoy the variety of opinions expressed on this forum!

So.... that's how I found it :)

Damnit all to hell, I ordered a drunken, promiscuous young girl. This simply will not do. Send her back, and get one that drinks, sleeps around, and preferably is covered in extra cheese and pepperoni.

... I think I might be confusing my lusts.

In any event, welcome. I have no desire to know your address, though I hope you're Canadian because we're awesome. I found this place more or less the same way you did, and can honestly say it's the best forum of its kind I've come across lately.

Best of luck finding the religion that's right for you. Please keep in mind that any that involve God are 'wrong'.

Take it easy.
