I enjoyed reading the threads and wanted to join in and learn as well as share.
Thanks for the welcome pm and hope my stay is a pleasant one for all.
I am saved and believe that the only way to live is by every word of God.
In this day and age it is is difficult to live as a believer and I think forums like this are great for helping believers and atheists, understand each others beliefs better.

Welcome
I hope that I can challenge your faith and that you can provide evidence to support it.

Hi Faith. Glad to have you with us.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Hi Faith, welcome to the forum. I'm a Brit too, but a heathen. :D

Hi, Can I call you Macca for short? :D

True faith is always about faith which expects to receive.
So faith when read in the Old Testament should be made real to us by God revealing himself, as Christ says in the New Testament. This is only done by obedience to love. So I would say the proof I have is that I have received the things promised. This is what matters and not that I can show this proof to you.
But that it is enough to sustain my own beliefs.

Thanks I look forward to being challenged. :D

Hi, I take it you won't mind being called FO,

Which football team do you support then, Liverpool or the other. :D
Nothing wrong with being a heathen, one of my best friends is a heathen.
I am glad there is someone here from the North.
