Hello again--
Well, I had originally been very enthusiastic about participating in this forum. However, the day after I registered, and posted six posts, my ISP was inexplicably banned. Given that experience, I will not be participating in this forum in the future. I do have a new email address, though, and anyone participating in this thread is welcome to email me there. It's Riley_K_Stone@comcast.net. Also, I will be participating in the discussion forum at Infidels.org, so feel free to join me in discussion there.
Last night, I posted about my experience here at infidels.org, which is probably why the owner of this board decided to unban me. For anyone interested, here is what I wrote. It provides a lot of rather disturbing information about the board owner's views.
Post at Infidels.org:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully, I'm posting this message in the correct thread. If not, my apologies in advance. I noticed that someone had posted about their experience in christianboard.com, so I thought I might post about my recent experience in a different forum called Debating Christianity & Religion.
I am a former Christian, and I enjoy debating Christianity with Christians who are able to do so in an articulate and mature manner. The other day, I did a google search using the key words "debating Christianity," and I discovered this forum. I was kind of excited about it at first because it seemed to offer just what it advertised, civil discussion of the issues from both the theistic and non-theistic perspectives. I browsed through some of the posts there, and it did seem that quite a few atheists had posted without being banned.
That evening, I posted approximately six messages in the Apologetics section (I think that's what it was called.) I did not think that I said anything that was out of line. However, the next day, I tried to access the forum and received a message that my ISP had been blocked. No explanation. No warning. Nothing.
I went to Network Solutions to use their WHOIS feature to look up the name of the owner of the site. This information is freely provided to anyone who wishes to access it. In that way, I was able to locate the owner's email address and also his blog.
In reviewing the owner's blog, it was clear that he is an evangelical Christian. Most of his posts are average, every day kinds of posts. However, there were several posts that contained some very surprising admissions, including the admission that he "hates dealing with black women."
I would be interested to know if others have had a similar experience at that forum. I'd also be interested to know if my posts were deleted or if they are still there. I'd check myself, but I've been banned.
For anyone who might be interested, here are a few excerpts (along with the url's) from the owner's blog.
EXCERPTS FROM THE BLOG OF THE OWNER OF DEBATING CHRISTIANITY AND RELIGION:
I HATE DEALING WITH GOVERNMENTAL WORKERS.
http://www.otweb.com/blog/index.php?...mental_workers
I always hate dealing with governmental workers. As they always say, those who can't get a real job end up working for the government. And I hate to sound doubly discriminatory, but it's black women that I specifically don't like to deal with. I just got a water bill for $105. I thought that seemed high so I called the City of Atlanta Water dept. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I got through. I said I wanted to find out about how my water bill was computed. And in a belittling tone, she said that the bill was adjusted for the actual meter reading since last October. All the bills since last October were estimated bills. The last time they read the meter was last October! From her tone, she seemed ready to fight me if I protested the bill. I didn't feel inclined to fight this battle, so I just say bye. Argh, the ineffeciencies and complete lack of customer service of the government.
ROAD RAGE
http://www.otweb.com/blog/index.php?id=518&t=Road_Rage
One of the things that really sets me off is when someone cuts in front of my car. Especially after I've waited a long time in line and someone wants to just pull over into my lane at the last minute. The other day, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that someone was trying to pull in front of me. The trick is not to maintain any eye contact and to stay right behind the car in front. But the person opened the window and stuck out her arm. Then looked at me and said, "Are you going to let me in?!" She caught me off guard with this tactic and I reluctantly waved her in. I wanted to open my window and say, "What gives you the right to just pull into MY lane when I've been waiting for FIFTEEN minutes! Go to the BACK of line lady!!" My wife says I should've responded with a cheery, "No, no, no, by the hair on my chiny-chin, chin." I sometimes just want to have my paintball gun in my backseat handy and just blast away at whoever pulls in front of me. Then I think that's probably something Jesus would not do. So, if I'm in a real spiritual mood, I pray for peace for me and the driver that pulled in front of me... and also throw in that God would take vengence on that person.
COUSIN’S FAMILY ROBBED OVER THE WEEKEND
http://www.otweb.com/blog/index.php?...er_the_weekend
I was reading through Facebook last night, and I read that my cousin's family here in Atlanta got robbed! And this was no ordinary robbery. The robbers broke through the front door, tied them up, then went through the house looking for stuff. Fortunately, nobody got hurt and they didn't appear to have stolen much stuff. But the fact that the robbers were bold (and dumb) enough to bust down the front door while people were inside is shocking. And being tied up raises it to another level.
When I called them last night, they were surprised that I knew about it. They hadn't told anyone about it. Well, a lot of people reading my cousin's blog knew about it before I did.
The neighborhood that they live in hasn't had a major robbery in it for years. Aunt says several years ago someone's lawnmower got stolen. And it's an upper middle class neighborhood, though the houses there are over 30 years old. The problem is the county is not very good. I had asked if the robbers were black. She said "Of course." I try not to be prejudiced by race, but I can't say that events like this do not affect my perceptions.
I can't imagine the sense of fear that would be planted after you've been tied up and robbed in your own home. I think my reaction would be to move out to a safer county.
WHY I HOMESCHOOL
http://www.otweb.com/blog/index.php?...y_I_homeschool
- God has been banned in schools. We can indoctrinate our kids all we want about religion.- Freely learn about the Bible or any book we want to learn from.
- The school system does not reflect real life. Life is more than taking tests and sitting in class all day with a bunch of kids.
- Flexible schedule. We can go on vacation anytime we want.
- Not just focus on academics, but all skills necessary for life.
- I can evaulate and choose the curriculum and tailor the lessons specific for each child.
- I can choose who will be the influencers on my child.
- Promote self learning.
- Can stay on one topic as long as we want. Can master a subject. In schools, it's difficult to master a subject since you can only take a class for so long.
- Don't punish kids cause they don't excel in everything. Everyone has different talents. The pressure to be good in all subjects is not realistic.
- Keep my kids away from negative peer pressure, crime, and drugs.
WHY WOMEN SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED IN MILIATRY COMBAT
Wouldn’t it be Nice to be in a Foxhole Together So We Could Bring Our Dumb Fights, Petty Jealousies, and Energy-Zapping Crises to the Frontlines by Karen De Coster.
Reasons why women shouldn't be allowed in military combat:
- Protectorate. Males tend toward a natural defense of women that would disrupt the particulars of combat objectives. In a non-decadent, Western culture, any man should and will feel compelled to protect and defend a woman in distress. This is what men do. Thank God for testosterone.
- Sexual. The complicated issue of men and women mixing it up sexually always creates the possibility for emotional torment, mutual obsession, and perpetual grief – the kind of stuff that keeps soldiers from concentrating on the mission at hand. Sexual tension also creates uneasiness within any group setting.
- Emotional ties. The emotional and territorial issues – that are the result of sexual relationships – of men and women being guarded and jealous concerning who is sleeping with who, who belongs to who, who is "looking" at who, who is flirting with who, who is wearing what in front of who, etc. Think of the silly fights and jealousies that erupt between men and women over the silliest darn things; oh please, do we need that in a combat setting?
- Muscles. Physical strength differentials. Men are masculine and strong, women are not. (At least they aren’t supposed to be.)
- Emotional differentials. Women cry after running over a squirrel in the road. Most men won’t bat an eye, and may even enjoy it.
Emotional intelligence. The emotional IQ of women is far higher and more developed. Men tend toward being more generally "clueless," and not thinking things through. Ever hear of the term "clueless man?" In any situation where quick thinking and rapid action is necessary, the various stopovers, lollygags, and deep treks that a woman’s brain makes in order to assess the various emotive outcomes can equal death, and not only for herself, but a whole crew of soldiers.
- Hygiene. Women have high-maintenance hygiene issues that must be attended to, and this extends beyond the monthly factor.
- Survival. Men can do without, and they won’t complain. Women are predisposed toward luxuries and being pandered to. Their tolerance for doing without life’s little essentials is way lower then that of men.
ABORTION AND BREAST CANCER
http://www.otweb.com/blog/index.php?..._Breast_Cancer
In the US, one out of eight women will incur breast cancer in her lifetime. According to 2002 estimates, 203,000 women in the US will develop breast cancer and 40,000 will die from it. It tops the charts in number of new cancer cases for women (lung cancer is #2 with 79,200 cases per year). It is the second highest cancer related death after lung cancer in women (65,700 deaths).
I'm in the camp that a major reason for the large number of breast cancer incidents is the large number of women getting abortions. Here's an interesting chart showing breast cancer cases skyrocketing after 1973 (when abortion became legal).

Hello Rileystone,
I have moved your post out of the active debate and into the general chat. This site has had some problems with hackers and otseng had to install some tools which attempts to block this type of activity. I know that there had been an adjustment period with these tools, where the tool may have been overly aggressive in its job. I suspect strongly that you were the unintended victim. Either that or our hacker is someone using your ISP.
I know that we do not prohibit users from accessing this site for ideological reasons. Otseng holds quite a few views on issues that I strongly disagree with and I hold views which he strongly disagrees with. These differences do not prevent us from engaging in civil debate.
I invite you to again try to participate in the debates here. But if you choose not to, please believe that there is no ill will towards you and there has been no deliberate attempt to prevent you from participating.

Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

As for IP banning, your IP was automatically banned for excessive requests. This was put in place due to recent hacker activity. See here: Site down due to attacks
Auto IP blocking has happened to several members here - IP seems to be blocked?. And your reaction is quite striking and in my opinion, quite over the top.
