I am a lot sad right now and I am not sure how to fix this. I have been praying all day for some guidance and I seem to be not getting any from God. I had believed that God would judge her based on what is in her heart, but if this was the case, wouldn't she feel His love, even if she didn't feel Him?
Where is the disconnect?

Alexia, God loves your Mom so much. The Love for her is ALWAYS there waiting for her to find it when she's READY. It will be on her terms because God doesn’t force her to believe in him, love him or even acknowledge Him.
Many people might tell you your MOM won't go to heaven or something like that. I don't believe Alexia. Jesus didn't teach that. Jesus said something like: "My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."
Alexia I don't know if you read it here or not, but my Mom was an atheist and I have NO DOUBT she be in heaven when I get there. She was a realist. And dealt with reality as she found it. When she discovers the New Reality that she is resurrected into, I have no doubt about the vitality and good will she enter into her new reality with. She did God's Will on Earth with out ever recognizing it as that.
Loving one another as God Loves us. Or as put another way. treating one another the way we would like to be treated. She was better than many Christians at doing that. There's NO WAY God's going to get rid of someone who serves Him like that....EVEN IF THEY CAN'T SEE HIM and don't believe in Him.
I feel that same way about your Mom Alexia. She's already saved by doing God's Will. She does it Alexia.
I pray for her Alexia because of the joy I believe she will experience if she ever tries to expand that tiny bit of belief she has in God. The light's still there Alexia. She just real angry at God. And you can't be angry something you don't believe in.
Don't hope Alexia. You may think it doesn't matter. But I say your hope is very powerful in your families life. It helps to hold you all together in your difficult times.
May God Bless You Alexia. If it be God's Will I pray you "see" and if possible "feel" His Love for you and your mom and your family.
Peace be with you.
My Aunt would'nt acknowledge God because she was angry with him ever since my 19 year old cousin got run over in 1969.
I choose and read this at her funeral. I believe That NOTHING could keep my Aunt from being Loved by God.
A reading from the letter of Paul
to the Romans
If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him? Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. Who will condemn? It was Christ Jesus who died rather was raised who is also at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.
What will separate us from the Love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Post #3Patience is a virtue. We don't always get what we ask for immediately. Let us all continue to pray and to have persevering love. And I think over time, one day, God will deem the time right for our requests to be fulfilled.alexiarose wrote:I am a lot sad right now and I am not sure how to fix this. Lord it's me again. As a drift off to sleep, with a prayer in my heart for Confused and Alexia please receive this prayer for healing the family tree. Allow it to cause healing in their family and in all the families of those who need healing. Thank You Lord and Good Night Lord thank you for your gift of light.
Prayer For Healing The Family Tree
Heavenly Father, I come before you as your child, in great need of your help. I have physical health needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs and interpersonal needs. Many of my problems have been caused by my own failures, neglect and sinfulness, for which I humbly beg your forgiveness, Lord. But I also ask you forgive the sins of my ancestors whose failures have left their effects on me in the form of unwanted tendencies, behavior patterns and defects in body, mind and spirit. Heal me, Lord, of all these disorders.
With your help I sincerely forgive everyone, especially living or dead members of my family tree, who have directly offended me or my loved ones in any way, or those whose sins have resulted in our present sufferings and disorders. In the name of your divine Son Jesus, and in the power of his Holy Spirit, I ask you, Father, to deliver me and my entire family from the influence of the evil one. Free all living and dead members of my family tree, including those in adoptive relationships, and those in extended family relationships, from every contaminating form of bondage. By your loving concern for us, heavenly father, and by the shed blood of all my living and deceased relatives. Heal every negative effect transmitted through all past generations, and prevent such negative effects in future generations of my family tree.
I symbolically place the cross of Jesus over the head of each person in my family tree, and between each generation; I ask you to let the cleansing blood of Jesus purify the blood lines in my family lineage. Set your protective angels to encamp around us, and permit healing power to all of us, even in areas of genetic disability. Give special power to our family members’ guardian angels to heal, protect, guide and encourage each of us in all our needs. Let your healing power be released at this very moment, and let it continue as long as your sovereignty permits.
In our family let there be love. And let there be an ever deeper bonding with you Lord, by the Holy Spirit, to your Son Jesus. Let the family of the Holy Trinity pervade our family with it’s tender, warm, loving presence, so that our family may recognize and manifest that love in all our relationships. All of our unknown needs we include with this petition that we pray in Jesus’ precious Name. Amen
