Until the last few paragraphs the article was relatively reasonable, but then it went off the deep end. Suggesting that billions of years worth of radioactive decay actually happened over the course of just a few thousand years is extremely easy to debunk. Raising the background radiation a million times would result in the sterilization of the planet.
